^ If you'd bothered watching the rest of the show then the scene of Cersei's walk of shame had a lot of context. It's popular for a reason... and includes plenty of accomplished award winning actors.

^You guys are making too much of an effort to change the mind of someone who just craves attention and likes to say controversial things. He's like a mini-Trump. Ignorance is the new tool of the polemicists

Episode 5 Trailer:

We know it's called Eastwatch and the Night King was heading there... plenty of action in the north probably.

Interesting clip with Jon Snow and the dragon. Wonder if the dragon has figured out he's part Targaryen? Jon doesn't even know this himself yet... Any weird possibility of the dragons changing allegiance from Dany to Jon?

I'm guessing it's going to be something like that where the dragon/s treat Jon diferently than every other random human. They (Jon and Dany) still won't figure it out though, I think it has to be Bran that would tell him.

It certainly looks like the dragon recognises the gene. Dammit! I have to wait until tomorrow evening! :(

Did everyone see it yet? Pretty slow episode like the first of the season but sets things up nicely. I liked it overall, after what happened last week I wasn't expecting too many fireworks.

I must be honest, there are two things I really hated in this episode (neither has to do with the slow pace, which was expected after last week):

1) Jaime and Bronn just swimming away unharmed is uncharacteristically convenient (perhaps even cowardly) for this show. Give me a break.

2) The "plan" sounds really stupid. However, I think it's going to set up some great action beyond the wall, and I love that the Hound is involved.

The biggest revelation in the episode was hidden away in Gilly Tarley's ramblings to Sam about measters recording when they took a crap. She mentioned about Rheagar having his marriage annulled in Dorne and marrying a secret woman.

That woman will have been Lyanna Stark... which means Jon is not a bastard, but the true heir to the Targaryen dynasty... Jon Targaryen. We already knew Jons parents but it seems he's legit after all.

Yes I got that too!

I also liked the confrontation between Arya and Sansa. The fact Littlefinger saw her leaving his room, tells me there'll be trouble there. He better not try to mess with a trained assassin, that won't end well.

I think Littlefinger plotted that whole scene from the outset - he meant Arya to find that scroll - which was the one Sansa wrote under duress when in Kings Landing. Divide and conquer the sisters, is his plan... but Bran might be the bigger problem for Littlefinger... and Arya might then become the executioner. Odds on Littlefinger surviving the series might not be looking too good.

That makes a lot of sense. I do hope Arya sorts him out, but he's one of those cockroach types that always seems to survive! Wonder when Bran is going to tell the sisters and Jon that he's their cousin and heir to the throne?

Agreed, I really thought that they wouldn't have it be Bronn and Jaime swimming far away. It is just too unrealistic. Jaime in armor and with one hand, Bronn not exactly in good attire for swimming and having to drag Jaime too...

And totally agree that the "plan" is silly. We are talking Cersei here and they all know they can't trust her. But like you said it is going to set up some fun action for next week.

Littlefinger absolutely plotted the whole thing. Crafty SOB got one over on Arya this week. I don't think he survives this season either, but he knows he doesn't have many other options now but to be in Winterfell with Sansa.

That was the best part of the whole episode, A scene that seemed meaningless that contains an enormous game-changing revelation in a "blink and you miss it" moment.

Tyrion and Jaime meeting was interesting too, I kind of preferred that it'd have been in a more dramatic setting but it was still good. Tyrion hoping for some kind of understanding and forgiveness. Hoping there is still some love there but Jaime made it clear that's not the case. At least not yet.

The dragon definitely sensed the gene as @Federberg mentioned. Here's another thought/prediction about how Jon and everyone learns the truth: he will get in a situation where he is around a fire but like Dany it won't burn him. That would show them right away that he may in fact be a Targaryen and people will then quickly piece together Ned's reason for keeping it a secret. Almost all my predictions have been wrong this season so I'm sure this will be no different :)

That would be a great scene. You've got me wanting that exact scene now....

The pieces are falling into place. Ned knew Robert Baratheon would kill Jon so kept it a secret, so his now-nephew could survive.

Lyanna Stark was clearly a willing participant with Rheagar Targaryen, not the the kidnapped hostage, Robert Baratheon had made her out to be.

Dany clearly has deep affection for Jon and Targaryens marry into their own... is marrying your nephew a stretch too far?

Aaargh! Just been told by a fellow GoTer that there are only 2 more episodes in this series. Each will be longer than previous, but at least there'll be one more season after this

Episode 6 is another epic. HBO released the wrong file in Spain and it was all over the Internet today. Won't spoil the fun, but it's a big one (slowish start but ramps up sharply).
