Right now, Fed is 1315 points ahead of Murray.
Let us assume that Fed wins Halle and Murray wins Queens this year.
Then as per wimbledon's sedding formula, they will add 2000 + 250 + .75 * 1200 = 3150
points to Murrays's ranking points.
Fed will get 45 + 250 + .75 * 2000 = 1795 points.
So, Murray will have 3150 - 1795 = 1355 advantage in points added.
So, basically, Murray will get ahead of Fed by 40 points in wimbledon seedings.
To be on the safe side, Fed needs to add in some 500 points to the differential to
ensure Murray does not surpass him.
Actually, even if Murray gets ahead, it is virtually no problem for Fed. Fed will continue
to be in top 4 in Wimbledon seedings. This is because Wawrinka lost in the 1st rond of
Wimbledon last year and so can only add 10 points and whatever he gets in the
warm up torunament this year and .75 of his best tournament prior to Wimby 13.
That is likely to be considerably less than what Fed gets added. So, we don't have
to worry much.
For all practical purposes, Fed will be in top four in Wimby seedings.
As a bonus, he will not have to play Murray until finals this year, as they both
are likely to be seeded 3 and 4.
