Bid farewell to long-time New York Knick Anthony Mason. He suffered a heart attack earlier this month, but was not able to fully recover. He eventually succumbed to congestive heart failure. He was 48.

Strange time for the passing of sports figures. We've lost long-time Chicago White Sox Minnie Minoso who was the first black baseball player in Chicago. He was 92.

Bid farewell to Charmayne "Maxee" Maxwell. She apparently fell on a broken wine glass and bled to death. Just Horrible. She was 46. A member of Brownstone, one of my favorite girl groups of all time.

Hi KS, very sad to hear about Charmayne Maxwell, so talented and still quite young. What exactly happened, was it a freak accident?

It was an accident. "It’s believed Maxwell was holding a wine glass when she fell backwards in the doorway between her house and outdoor patio. The glass then shattered behind her when it hit the ground, and Maxwell’s head tragically landed on top of the broken shards. TMZ reports that two shards of glass pierced the back of her neck, leading her to bleed out."

Bid goodbye to Daniel von Bargen. He was a very skilled actor who's most remembered for his roles on Seinfeld and Malcolm in the Middle. He passed away after a long battle with Diabetes. He was 64 and will be greatly missed. Thanks for the laughs Daniel.

RIP to Ken "The Snake" Stabler, the great QB for the Raiders back in the 70's that helped lead them to a win in Super Bowl XI.

RIP Kenny Stabler

Raider legend - former QB Ken Stabler has passed away at the age of 69.

Never saw him play, but as a Raider fan have watched a lot of archive footage from those halcyon days and the Snake was the architect of some of the classic plays in NFL history - "Ghost to the Post"m, "The Holly Roller" as well as being a superbowl winning quarterback.

Trust me , my father and older cousins say this guy was "Joe Montana cool before there was ever a real Joe.. This man was as the late Stu Scott stated "Cool as the other side of the pillow".

BB.. I grew up watching these films of the Raiders and all I wanted to be was left handed so I can throw the ball like the Snake.. RIP Kenny " the Snake"

RE: RIP Kenny Stabler

He was a great quarterback and he was cool under pressure. He threw that horrible pass while on the grasp of the Miami dolphins defense to stop the Dolphins from going to the 4th St., Super Bowl in 1974. This killed me. Killed me with that wobbly pass into the end zone. The Dolphins were than the two-time defending Super Bowl champions and they did not return to the salon to the 1980s.

Didn't realize just how old he was. Pretty solid broadcaster from what I remember (he did MNF until the late 90's).
