Every morning I need a peppermint tea or a coffee.
If I don't have 1 I can't think for toffee.

Our life is like a book.
Everyday we turn another page.
Our memories take another look.
We go through new chapters as we age.

I remember when I
was younger & I
used to look out
of my Grandma's window.

I looked & saw
my uncle doing the
garden & the dog.
The dog always looked

back in. He was
waiting for me to
come out to play
with him. I remember

going for my Sunday
dinner & having home-made
rice pudding at Grandma's
& playing with my

cousins there. I also
remember having sing-songs. 1
of my Aunt's could
play xylophone & 1

of my uncle's could
play harmonica while another
could play guitar. Everyone
else just sung. My

Grandma also taught me
to read. I loved
her & still miss
her.

What is beauty?

The answer to that differs according to personal opinion.
For some beauty is having a spotless complexion, blonde hair & a thin body.
For some beauty is having a melodious voice, nice personality & beautiful mind.
For some it's a mixture of these.
The saying beauty is in the eye of the beholder is very true.
You don't have to have a spotless complexion or blonde hair to be beautiful.
Plump people can be beautiful too.
People with nice voices can be ugly.
People can be nasty but still be physically attractive.
People can have beautiful minds but still be ugly.
How do you define beauty?
Who do you really see as beautiful?

Birds sing in the morning.
They sing just as day is dawning.
They sing very nicely then for us.
It's called the dawn chorus.

Why has the world gone mad?
Why is all the news bad?
Why is all the news so sad?

Why is death & suffering the price for everyone to be free?
Why is no one allowed to just be?
Why can't you be you & me be me?

Why can't we just say what we think?
Why does everything just come out when we've had too much to drink?
When things are going well why do things just have to sink?

Why do those with money always have the power to do what they want & change other people's lives?
Why do people who disagree with them always go for nosedives?
Why do governments always do what they say when it'll make the country worse but things they say they'll do to make the country better many M.P.'s feel the urge to go for skives?

I write to express the way I feel.
Though I always tell the truth, not everything I write is real.
I write when my true thoughts & feelings & my ideas I can no longer conceal.

I like the elegance of rhyme.
I have done for a very long time.

I also write short stories & songs.
I also write when I know people's attitude towards what I've got to say pongs.
I write when life & people have dished me out too many wrongs.

I get a lot of my ideas for poems, stories & songs in dreams.
Sometimes they're short, sometimes I write reams.

Hi Ann, i saw you posted here recently so i wrote this poem just now :D enjoy :dance3::dance1:

Poor old Brits are getting slaughtered
Getting wrecked by muslim yokels
Cocky muslims know no limits
Making mincemeat of clueless Brits
Armed with knives, trucks and explosives
They spank poor limeys on their asses
British libtards messed up royally
choosing new muslim names hastily
Muggy Mark renames to Maqil
Fiddah is the new name of Bogus Phil
Pedophile Joe hides as Jubair
At cowardice they're raising the bar
Poor British left needs cookies and hugs
I'll send some packs to the pathetic mugs

Hi Nekro! I was sick of all the bad & sad news all the time. It's depressing & how some people treat others it's as though you're not allowed an opinion & mind of your own anymore. I feel restricted & as though I have to keep my thoughts to myself. I was writing them into poems until the poetry plagiarism then I got copyrighted but because I'd restricted myself for so long nothing came out at 1st then all the p.c. probs I'd been experiencing. I'm very sorry if I went off on you recently. I restricted myself until everything just gushed out + with all the British events recently I don't feel safe on the street anymore. Armed police & soldiers in towns should have made me feel safe but I felt more scared. I'm glad they're not on the street anymore. I'm having to force myself to go out. I agree what you've put describes some Brits & Muslims but not others. I liked your poem because I think it's well structured.

I'm sorry you felt bad like that, i can understand it cause i'm kindofan introvert too so when i'm in a bad mood i have to force myself to go out too, especially now that i'm not 20 haha, it's getting worse with age I guess, it's not that there are any terrorists here it's just that often i have no patience to do everyday bullshit and i'm disillusioned with lots of things that used to drive me on in the past....

I'm glad you liked the poem, haha, i have some very funny ones but they're not written in English, at uni i wrote during one of the seminars a poem about forest animals and passed it around, it was so funny one of the girls literally peed herself a bit she was laughing so hard, i know it cause she went out of the classroom and slapped me on the head while doing so, but she was still laughing :lulz1:

It's also the attitude of people. I thought we lived in a democracy until the Brexit vote then our P.M. resigned because he didn't want to do what the majority wanted then all the so-called better educated people threw their teddies out of the perambulator & called everyone who voted for Brexit stupid, uneducated racists & started protesting because the vote didn't go their way. I'm not stupid, uneducated or racist. Maybe I didn't go to college but I was bullied all the way through school so decided to get a job. Everyone was nagging me to go to college. You don't have to go to college to be smart. Once you learn the right skills you can educate yourself with access to the right books etc. You don't need a tutor & piece of paper to say you understand something. You don't always have the money for further education either. If the vote went the other way I'd have just accepted it. David Cameron should have given our intention to the E.U. the day they counted the votes & found out we wanted to leave then there wouldn't have been all these protests. They set a bad example for the Americans. The Americans had to pick the best of 2 bad candidates. Hillary sticking up for Clinton when he had those affairs & Donald Trump, a successful business man who had some good ideas of what he wanted to do as well as bad ones. At the end of the day the people voted. Those who were out-voted should have accepted it instead of protesting. He should have been left to do what he said he was going to do. He was voted in. They then said we wasn't living in a democracy because we were getting out of the E.U. & Trump became president. We wouldn't be living in a democracy if we stayed in the E.U. & Trump wasn't president because the people voted the opposite way. I'm in between extrovert & introvert because I'm very sociable & say a lot & go out a lot & I love being on a stage singing or acting but I also get flustered when meeting some new people & I don't know how things are going to turn out & I like to sit & read, write, sew or paint. Lol.

Lol. If they're in French or Spanish I'd love to see them though I'd have to get my brain in gear & see what I can remember of French & Spanish. What did you study in uni? Anything interesting?

Actually it's not fair to call them Russian cause they were just leeching money from russia too, with Trump they set up lots of sin dens and stuff...... Now he's in their grip....

I studied engineering and got special translator training....

There is no need for all the hatred used towards people with other opinions to you like there has been in the U.K. & U.S. Haha! I used the information I've already told you about to make my decisions + I remembered my history & know before the E.U. free trade meant just that & thought all that money we pay into the E.U. each year could go into services & we could make our own laws like we used to & deport foreign criminals. From what I knew he was a successful businessman. I don't like his dealings with Russia & how he treats women but although I'm not prejudiced I also think with all the attacks done in the name of Islam though I think it's people using religion as an excuse to cause trouble that he is right to want to vet Muslims coming into the country. I've just been learning old weights & measures as some places have started selling goods in them as well as doing nice, interesting & useful things to keep my mind off things. Still people voted for it so that's what we should have. Democracy comes from the Greek words demos & cracia which meant power to the normal people. Most politicians aren't normal people & normal people don't get much say so I don't think you could say either of us live in a democracy.

That sounds interesting.

I love reading but recently have done a lot of writing, painting & baking. Haha!

Well, Trump sacked Bannon and kinda replaced him with Kushner..... I didn't like some of the stuff Bannon was saying about China for example, but at least he was a more authentic character as a Christian, and ofc Trump just used him and now his whole crew is Jewish, yeah, in theory that wouldn't be a problem, but now see his actions in Syria for example, he's in full support of the terrorists. At least Obama didn't touch Syria, Trump also promised no more interventions but he's doing exactly the opposite... So his crew+his actions mean he's in the hands of the Jewish war machine....

he is right to want to vet Muslims coming into the country.
He and his country can fo....

Big solace to Europe and even Britain he's vetting muslims going to the USA, at the same time he's making a mess in the middle east and getting the muslims in europe.... i hope you know the muslims are still camping at Calais waiting to sneak into Britain, you can thank the USA for that, many thought Trump would be better but he's even worse......

All poems are copyrighted.

I looked for, but could not find the second line
And thought, "Is it just a short poem without rhyme"?
Or something that reminds me that, no matter how nice you are
You still need to defend yourself in this strange place we live in
It must be just that... just a tiny spot, just a tiny mar
Who would try to make a poem out of such a sorry thing?

Thanks for the poems, EquineAnn.

I disagree with Trump being for the terrorists but the point I'm making is that if you're out-voted you should accept that & live with the decision. I didn't want David Cameron back in because his laws killed many elderly & disabled people but I was out-voted so I accepted it like everyone should do instead of throwing a paddy because they couldn't get their own way & call people who disagree with them. I've got muslim friends so aren't anti-muslim but can see why he's doing what he's doing like I said I agree with some things he's doing but not others.

You don't live in Britain so haven't seen how being in the E.U. affected us personally. I've discussed this before. I'll have to agree to disagree with you here on both points. We've both had our say & got out how we really felt. Thank you very much for allowing to air my views.
