Most Rafa fans feel that he is the ultimate competitor and he is fair..maybe when others questions these aspects of his personality some fans may get pissed off but to me its all in the sport of tennis. The game of tennis is a sport, not life or death but something to entertain us as we all deal with the day to day various aspects of life. That's all, nothin more nothin less.

Novak seems to be in a labyrinth trying to find the exit and how to recovery his best. Everybody is blaming Pepe Imaz but they are together for 5 years already which means that he has nothing to do with the Novak's bad results which also had to happen sooner or later

It seems Ancic is only to be with him temporarily. Apparently he has a job in banking and has to take time off! I believe they are old friends.

Ancic is the answer to a famous trivia question. I actually liked Ancic. He went to school and studied law or MBA after quitting tennis.

I liked him too. He was top 10 for a time I think. Then injuries made him retire. A big change to go into finance.

Ancic went to Columbia Law School. A bit of trivia about him I won't forget because it was so odd: Goran was very superstitious. He always parked in the same spot at Wimby, arriving early to make sure he got that particular spot. One year, he arrived early as usual and saw one car in the entire lot, but it was parked in his favorite spot. He got Ancic to help him lift and place the car one space over. Goran won the Wimby final that day.

What a wonderful story! I was there that day, loved seeing Goran win after so many near misses!

Did I act ticked off? I will though, if you say that Rafa is not strong on grass. I allow as how his last several finishes haven't been fine at Wimbledon, but who are you offering me in comparison to 5 finals, 2 wins, and a win at Queens? There are only 2 active players who really have a better resume on grass, so it's relative in the extreme to say that Nadal is not strong on grass.
I don't think you acted like you were ticked off, but many Rafa fans do not like to hear about him being smoked by a big server. I also agree with Darth that he benefited from the changes made to the playing surface. In the 90's many of the clay courters skipped Wimbledon because it was very fast, and Nadal would have done the same had the surface not been changed.

Are you suggesting that fans are blustering? Well, THAT would be new. B-) I'm wondering what you were actually expecting or hoping to hear: that the Fedal universe would predict Novak to win? The Fedal behemoth is a large ship, and it takes a great deal to swing her about. For now, she's cruising towards a Fedal final. Everyone else is just some flotsam and jetsam in the way.
Yes, there is bluster in abundance. I think the bluster comes from banter and pride, with both sets of fans trying to show that they are not worried about their favorite losing early. Most of the confidence being shown is a facade.

The bluster/smacktalk is annoying and makes me not want to post in these threads.

And yes, I'm worried about Roger losing, whether early or late. To say otherwise would be dishonest.

Oh yeah, Rafa , Murray and Djoker benefits..if not Roger would have won 14 straight Wimbledon titles if they would've kept the grass faster, Is that what Darth and you are implying

I would not go as far as to say that Roger would have won 14, but I think he would have won a lot more than 7 Wimbledon titles.

Bro, are you going to deny they benefited from a slower high bouncing surface at Wimbledon??

Realistically I think Roger would have won 9 or 10. More than that would have been ridiculous. He would've been slightly more vulnerable to big servers/hitters in his prime on fast grass but point blank Djokovic and Nadal would've been next to no threat on the prior grass. I don't even think they'd have made more than 1 or 2 finals

So Brotha, u are gonna honestly say 10 for Roger , 2 for Andy and 2 Novak and just finalist appearances for Nadal.
