It's interesting that many observers have pointed out that Rafa is in a great position to win another Wimbledon this year. He was going into 12/13/14 as the RG champion but there wasn't this much talk of his being one of the favorites. It does appear that with La Decima in the bag, Rafa is super motivated to settle all discussion about his off-clay greatness by nabbing this one. Moya may help him get there. At the very least, Rafa is not going to be caught off guard. Rafa is a confidence player. It will take a genuinely superior performance to take him out at SW19. Also in New York.

Yeah, he will be good. The Fedal final if it eventually takes place will be tough.

Good points. Rafa back at full-flight shouldn't be underestimated. The two greatest active players, and amongst the all-time, should not be taken lightly.

over 10 years ago it was all Fedal, now it's 2017 and we are back at it again.......as big or even bigger. Has the game really evolved? these two are really ancient you know....

Not pleased by all of his prognostications, but I thought it was a reasonable write-up.
Reasonable it was, but it's clear that Rafa fans are ticked-off when someone mentions dangerous servers in Rafa's section who can take him out. The prognostication does make sense, considering that Rafa is not very strong on grass.

The predictions from Fedal fans are becoming bolder as Wimbledon approaches. I am not sure if these predictions are truly based on the fans' confidence in their respective players.

It may be that they are just that much better than everyone else. Personally, I really do think that's what it is. They're surely not better than ever, though likely smarter. So that, combined with their chops, makes them formidable, again.

Did I act ticked off? I will though, if you say that Rafa is not strong on grass. I allow as how his last several finishes haven't been fine at Wimbledon, but who are you offering me in comparison to 5 finals, 2 wins, and a win at Queens? There are only 2 active players who really have a better resume on grass, so it's relative in the extreme to say that Nadal is not strong on grass.

Are you suggesting that fans are blustering? Well, THAT would be new. B-) I'm wondering what you were actually expecting or hoping to hear: that the Fedal universe would predict Novak to win? The Fedal behemoth is a large ship, and it takes a great deal to swing her about. For now, she's cruising towards a Fedal final. Everyone else is just some flotsam and jetsam in the way.

Saw video of Murray practising yesterday, limping badly and very stiff in movement.

Wimbledon have issued statement banning political chants! The political scene ius red hot here right now - I can't think of any thing they could have done more likely to create disturbance.

I should think so. I've just read the newspapers. They're just expecting some voters who didn't get their way to throw their teddy out of the pram & chant "Oh, Jeremy Corbyn!" instead of just accepting the vote like mature & civilized people.

It doesn't look promising for Andy Murray. Apparently he's hurt his hip. I'm very sorry to hear about this & hope he's not in too much pain & that he gets better soon.

How many players in this era have reached 5 finals and winning two tittles?

Its most likely Pro Corbyn supporters who will chant. They are peaceful and good natured, just want better government as our current government is contemptible and corrupt. There were 10,000 of them at Glastonbury and there was no trouble from them. However any big event here these days has to be at risk from terrorist attack. Wimbledon will have pretty extensive security but it only takes 1 evil person to get through it. I hope everyone will be safe.

Does this mean we can't expect Murray to go deep?
That seems to be the opinion. I saw him yesterday and he was clearly in pain. Looks as bit better today at practice. But he will do his best and he's a fighter.

We'll have to see. Anything can happen. I want Murray to do well & be o.k. I hope he is o.k. & does well but with a bad hip he won't be on top form I don't think. It also means if he does do well he'll deserve extra credit for all the hard work he's put in carrying on when not feeling great. It is hard to just carry on & try your best when not feeling great. I hope he's better soon & does well.

Some of them are. Some aren't. Like everything there are always nice & nasty people who support or disagreeable things. Labour is just as bad. We didn't have much choice. I want better government too but don't think Corbyn's labour party will offer that. If it's just chanting it's o.k. If it's more than that it's not. I agree. There has been a lot of risks of terrorist attacks on British soil recently. We need high security & I hope all goes well.

saying The possibly of Rafa facing a big server is gonna piss off Rafa fans is a bit perplexing and absurd. That's not even
Stick and stones..
