Oh, absolutely, I'm not denying that. I just remember it happening live and the whole anti-Rafa section on a particular tennis forum blowing up like crazy for simply pointing his finger.

It was so hilarious because he was right but they were too obscured with hatred to see it. It's become quite the 'notorious' picture across that landscape.

I guess I should have clarified that in my post, though.

Oh, I've seen Nole fans still insist that Nole was robbed and deny that he broke the rules. I've seen the umpire called a cheat - and I've seen the suggestion that the umpire served a subsequent "silent ban" for making such an error.

Not all of these have I seen on this forum, but it seemed harder to accept that he blew it than it was to blame others...

I think Rafa just likes to point at things. I've a feeling he's laughing at Andy's attire. I don't blame him - not a good look Andy.

^ I don't see anything wrong with rooting for someone to beat your player's nemesis or biggest threat. If you're going to watch a sporting event, it's more fun if you pick a side anyway. I don't think it it's particularly tasteful or amusing to make a big deal out of it, like ol' Mastoor, whose new favorite player was always the guy playing Rafa. I root for Roger sometimes. He does play pretty tennis. (Just don't make me listen to his press conferences. :laydownlaughing )

Strangely enough I mostly root for Nole in his matches even though I know he will give Rafa hell in a final, he's just likeable to me. Um Roger....not so much however it's something I'm working through diligently with my therapist.

djokovic blew the title last year by having mental meltdown when hitting net and wittering on about getting the court watered /brushed in the 5th set to the ump.

I have only seen main parts of 5th set thanks to French tennis (had to go to hospital when 5th set just started) so if ive missed the drift of that ending then ok but djoko lost the plot because rafa wouldn't go away and djoko blew up ? under the mental pressure.

that's what happened is it ?, djoko lost the sf thru mental weakness compared to iron will rafa. so if they meet lets see if that area has improved. but rafa is not as quick nowadays so mental amazingness might not be enough to stop djokovic this time.

I say djoko "blew the title" because I didn't see ferrer in the final as an obstacle. who did ?..no-one.

Rafa took control of the center of the court, began hitting the ball to Novak's fh to produce Ufes and he reestablished his dtl fh by coming forward and taking control of the rally

To be fair, he has beaten Novak in two slam finals, so he is at least going after my boy, even if he hasn't taken much away from rafa.

Good point, though you have to admit that Murray is the least-threatening of the big four, and therefore easier to root for. At least at RG. Anyway, blind of the draw, I'm predicting a good run for Murray at this year's French.
