DarthFed answered very well at 4:36 PM
Yes, but he said "if Djokovic was playing well," which he wasn't yet at that point. The roof did matter. And the fact that they kept it closed the 2nd day. Note that they've changed that rule, because it was dumb.

I'm glad it screwed Nads especially since it should have been finished the first day of not for early curfew crap

faker may enter another 2017 type slump after this RG defeat. Anyway, Cant depend on faker all the time to save tennis. It is high time others step up.
Not likely that Novak take another timeout. There is simply no one else who could threaten bull , not named Djokovic or maybe Federer. No one has the mental skills and constant high level tennis that is needed to beat Nadal.

Novak wasn’t at his best and still won. A few points decided. Nadal made very few bad decisions, he could have won , maybe with an opened roof, but his biggest chance wasnt the roof , it was the game level that Novak played. Would you agree with me, that if both play their a game, Novak is likely to win on grass?

Depends on the year. Last year, I don't think Novak was ready to win, and he got lucky. In 2011, I'll be honest, I think it was a lot of Novak in Rafa's head. I don't think Djokovic had won a title on grass. So it depends on where you lay the marker, imo.

You should give more credit to Novak for the Wimbledon 2011 win. 7-0 was a pretty evident stat. That year Djokovic crushed everyone time and again. That's why Roger's FO beatdown of Novak was quite impressive. That's one of the most impressive things I have seen.

When he was not ready to win, how he could stretch it to 5 sets? You really think it was luck? Lucky how? I really don’t get that point of you?

Lol, year 2011-2016 and 2018. The one year Rafa may have won is 2017 because Novak was that bad that year. Djokovic clearly a much better grass court player than Nadal, H2H and overall. I don't think he got lucky last year, he was never trailing in that match. He played like ass and still beat Nadal.

Last year Novak came doing nothing on clay, losing to everyone and playing one tournament on grass before Wimbledon while Nadal came winning most of the tournaments on clay and his first tournament was Wimbledon where he was very close to win that semis. I''m glad this year even winning Roma and RG I'm sure he feels better and more fresh than last year

I'd post photos from all of Nadal's losses to scrubs at Wimbledon but it'd take a good chunk of the day.
Who cares, according to some of you Nadal is not specialist on grass.....

He's special on grass alright...of the ed variety. Hopefully he gets blasted away early again when the ball isn't bouncing high for him

He's already showed signs of slowdown in the clay season. The ship's trajectory is downwards.

Yes Nadal's in great run of form as I was saying.

He had a great Rome and an average RG for him. We will see. He is at the mercy of the court conditions and big hitters. Last year was the carpet being rolled out for him. Anyways this Wimbledon is about Roger. He needs to treats this as the biggest tournament of his career aside from RG 09. With that sense of urgency he can win Wimbledon, he's past due to get 9 and then 10, pretty crazy he's done so poorly there after 2007. 3 titles in 11 years for what is supposed to be his best surface...not good

If Fed wins Halle, it will be a La Decima for him there.

But, Fed really needs a La Decima in Wimbledon. Currently Fed solely possess the record for Men in Wimbledon. But, he needs one more to tie Martina who has nine and the La Decima would give him sole possession of the record.

I'd be over the moon if he won another 1 Wimbledon but he's not winning 2. Let's be real here ;)

Thiem drops out of Noventi Halle Tourney citing exhaustion.

Nishikori also pulled out of Halle.

So, two of the too four seeds already gone.

The new top four seeds will be Fed, Sasha, Coric and KK.

I would like to see them meet again in semis or final. I honestly hoped to see a Novak - Nadal final in Paris. It still sucks badly this semi against the Austrian, so unnecessary.
But against Nadal I always have a good feeling when Novak is at least near his best. Last year in Wimbledon he wasn’t near his best and won.
Let’s see what will happen this year. May the better player win
