With 6 players remaining, here are the latest odds.

1. Federer 11/5
2. Stan 16/5
3. Rafa 15/4
4. Milos 5
5. Grigor 9
6. Goffin 33

Of course, Rog and Stan are ahead by a round and that is one of the reasons they have better odds at this time. I will update it after today's matches are over. Expect Rafa to go back to #2 if he wins today's match.

I wouldn't be surprised if Rafa became the favorite now

I think what's happening at the AO is great for men's tennis. Would Rafa and Roger both have a good shot at making the final if both Novak and Andy were still in the draw? Probably not. But that's what makes sport, and the upsets that come with it, unpredictable and exciting.

After the first semifinal, Roger vaults back to top. Here are the odds for the remaining fellows.

1. Roger 1
2. Rafa 3/2
3. Grigor 7

That works out to 50% chances for Roger, 40% for Rafa and 10% for Grigor.

Of course, Rafa will be (rightly) back on top if (when) he beats Dimitrov.

I am not sure if Milos makes it to the QF, but if he meets Rafa there, I am not concerned.
Rafa looked tired in the 3rd set of their match in Doha, which means to me, his conditioning will be a problem in the slam in 3 out of 5.

We shall see if it happens ..Rafa will take him out in straight sets..once you take away Milos fist serve, he is reduced to being a just a big Stiff

By the by, the chance of having a Fedal match now in this tournament is very little. Something like 5% maybe. We have to wait more.

Thanks God. Who would want another match netween those two. Boring...

This time around we will see an interesting first week as Rafa and Roger are seeded lower.

It will only get more interesting as time goes on if there are upsets! :dodgy:  :eyepop :popcorn

Maybe I am different, I want Roger and Rafa around to be in the later rounds especially the final weekend because I want to see great tennis (including Stan, Djoker, Nishikori, Murray and a few others). Not interested in seeing Jack Sock vs Nicky K. :nono
thank the tennis gods

Front, KSkate has warned you repeatedly about your consistent interjection of your steroidal conspiracies into every damn thread. Damn, enough already

Mr goody two shoes blabbing to mods again. Sigh. This is a fact. Go Google McEnroe steroids and do us all a favour and stop causing unnecessary hassle.
:laydownlaughing..last have a good AO , hopefully our two former number one champions can meet and we can both engage in some more competitive banter.

Front , it happened it's just the two of them alone on the court.,no andy..no Djoker, no Stan or no up and coming youngsters..unlike basketball as Sampras once said in this game (tennis).."you can't pass the ball":clap

If they do everyone will say the draw was rigged and it's entirely possible for once given their age, recent absence from the tour, and the greed involved as the authorities know this match will pull more revenue than any other at the whole tournament.

Are they saying that this fortnight was rigged, Fronty

That's some serious easy money. Too bad I don't gamble on sports anymore (shady online casinos).

Nothing would surprise me these days with the ATP/ITF/WTA. The golden oldies in both men's and women's finals. Seems too unreal to be true or genuine so who knows, maybe it isn't genuine. Sharadopa has been given a WC to the tournament sponsored by her sponsors (Porsche) who can't wait to have her back. Wonder why. Gee, could it be $$$ ?! The whole thing stinks. They don't care about anything but money whether done the right way or the wrong way.
