Let me answer for Rafa, No! ..not a Rafa No but Bag should give Rafa some extended practice session if he isn't nervous

The eleven players who had a chance to win AO are still alive after first round. So, not much has changed although there is some change in their exact odds.

1. Novak 3/2
2. Andy 2
HUGE GAP
3. Stan 18
4. Rafa 20
5. Milos 22
6. Fed 25
Huge Gap
7. Samurai 40
8. Nick 40
9. Grigor 50
Gap
10. Cilic 100
11. Zverev 100

All the rest have less than 1% chance of winning AO. As expected Zverev's odds have worsened after his five setter.

Plus these days you don't get many players admitting they took steroids too strong for horses unknowingly (as if Mac) for 6 years. McEnroe was a f****n' joke. Used love his matches with Borg but his legacy is forever more tainted and utterly destroyed imo.

Front, KSkate has warned you repeatedly about your consistent interjection of your steroidal conspiracies into every damn thread. Damn, enough already

Mr goody two shoes blabbing to mods again. Sigh. This is a fact. Go Google McEnroe steroids and do us all a favour and stop causing unnecessary hassle.

Courts were playing fast last year, I think. Realistically, watching the great Murray-Djoker match the other day, these two are head and shoulders above everybody else right now...

Here are the latest odds after three contenders were sent home.

1. Andy 10/11
HUGE GAP
2. Raonic 13/2
3. Stan 8
4. Rafa 12
Huge Gap
5. Roger 22
6. Grigor 24
7. Samurai 25
Large Gap
8. Zverev 50
9. Monfils and Tsonga 66
Gap
10. Thiem, Goffin, Gasquet and Berdych 100.

All the rest have less than 1% chance. If you restrict to 2% or better, only 8 players have a chance.

Major upheaval at the top. Raonic vaults above Stan and Rafa to #2 spot. Andy has more than 50% chance now of winning it. Also, Grigor inches above Samurai for the first time.

And what about Wimbledon? did Novak lost against Querrey because he won RG for the first time having one more week between both tournaments than some years ego? Roger did in 2009 and also won W. And the Olympics? because he had Delpo as the first opponent? Nope, they simply played better than him same like Wawrinka in the USO and RG 2015

Carol was spot on point last week..

Interesting Roger odds are better than Rafa's...I guess it's because of Milos is in Rafa's half of the draw

Don't try to justify. Stan is in Roger's half and he is the leader of the pack in odds.

It is probably because the courts are playing fast.

So who thinks there's nothing wrong with Federer arriving back on the tour after months of rehabilitation to be made the favorite? IMO it just shows how pathetic the rest of the tour is; not physically, more mental weaknesses! This would be like having Borg come back in '82 to play the FO or Wimbledon! :nono  :cover

Before he was injured he was number 2 so it's accurate. Is it his fault Djokovic and Murray lost so early?

In WTA, once Kim Clijsters came back after giving birth. I think she took more than an year off. So, basically did not even have a ranking beside her name. She played three warm up tourneys and then won the USO.

But, no way is ATP and Fed comparable to that situation. Fed was basically ranked in top 5 before he left and he was off only for 6 months. Players are able to beat him (Z did it).

it's certainly not his fault even if it helped him a lot to have Zverev instead of Sir Andy in quarter
I don't think it'll happen often to have both N°1 and N°2 out early, it's an opportunity for all the remained players, let's see which one'll make it happen

With 6 players remaining, here are the latest odds.

1. Federer 11/5
2. Stan 16/5
3. Rafa 15/4
4. Milos 5
5. Grigor 9
6. Goffin 33

Of course, Rog and Stan are ahead by a round and that is one of the reasons they have better odds at this time. I will update it after today's matches are over. Expect Rafa to go back to #2 if he wins today's match.
