^ Didn't expect him to win anyway. He has far more trouble against Berdych than Djokovic and while yesterday was a great win, today was the main challenge and he's failed so far.

I don't think he has far more trouble with Berdych than Djokovic. Not sure how you drawing that conclusion.

Even is touch at the net is coming back. It's like he clicked the "on" switch. Hopefully he doesn't switch it off or blow a bulb now.

Tomas needs to significantly up his first serve percentage (54 at present), and stop the bleeding here.

do the fans want roger to win or what..

You should hear the commentators on the Tennis Channel. They don't seem to feel any need to disguise it.

In the last few years he has at big matches. Hadn't beaten him since Madrid 2012 and even then I thought Berdych would win that, Roger had so many 0-30 moments on his own serve. Fed's serve and FH go to pieces against Berdych, who has an uncanny read off Fed's 2nd serve. Better than anyone on tour.

^ They've only played 2 matches since then Front.

Yeah but he hadn't lost as badly to Djokovic in recent years. Even the RG 2012 loss wasn't on par with losses to Berdych as Djokovic was atrocious in that match too and actually behind in each set till Federer gave all the breaks back. He was pretty horrendous in the Wimbledon and US Open losses to Berdych in the last few years.

Good man, Rodge. My streams died and was messing around trying to get a better one and came back to see he took set 2.

The man is fighting this year! Amongst other things the fight was badly lacking in 2013.

^ Yup Darth it's great to see the willingness to fight. A title here would be better than last year already where he won just a 250 title at Halle.

Abysmal performance from T-Berd. 48% first serve percentage and Rogers won 15 of the last 16 points. 0-40

Whew. From 0-40 to holding his serve.

Out of interest, what were the odds for today on Federer given the struggles to Berdych that he's had? Must've been pretty even for both or even slightly more favoured towards Berdych being the favourite based on ranking?
