He's looked pretty lacking intensity for 2 years now tbh, save for a set here and there. Dunno what the hell happened to him.

Joko lost Mojo.

He needs to find his way to Mojo-kovic from No-jokovic.

p.s. Waiting for Bodo to write that impending wedding softened up Djokovic. :snigger

Some highlights of the match for those interested.

Federer v. Djokovic 2014 Dubai Highlights

Thanks for the highlights.

Just a quick word on the occasional bandwagoning "Nadal is a better volleyer than Federer" movement that Johnny Mac leads, watch the above highlights, notice some of Federer's punch volleys. It's not even close (Fed is better, to be clear).

Federer has been killing it in '14 so far. He well exceeded my expectations. Not in terms of results, per-se, but actual quality of tennis.

Now you're sounding like Cali, as if we can separate "results" and "quality of tennis."

If Roger's quality of tennis is up, so too will his results.

yayyy not long to go now, its not before 7pm local time (10mins) if there is no doubles going on.

lets see Federer follow up his sf win with slapping skeletor down and claiming the title.

You are correct sir. Call that comment a "Mac Senior Moment". Nonsense.

Typical post-2012 Roger: breaks and then is immediately broken back.

Between yesterday and today Fed has hit a couple of beautiful running forehands. Even when he was having good results in 2012 that shot didn't look this good.

Even as a Fed fan I'm not sure how I feel about that. I think Federer can probably do a couple of things at net that Nadal can't do, but Nadal is incredibly consistent up there, probably more so than anyone I can think of. When was the last time you saw Nadal muff a volley in a big match, or place a volley where he shouldn't?

Early on the Fed serve isn't as good today. He needs that to improve quickly.
