Andy still with some nerves failed to serve out but will now have another chance after Muller DFs to give the break straight back.

Shame for Ward losing to Lopez. Sounds like he put up a good fight but ultimately didn't have the quality to take it any further, the story of his career on the ATP circuit really.

And Lopez playing well is not a easy opponent at all

Very untidy 1st set between Novak v Pospisil

Novak 4/13 Pospisil 6/25

Hopefully it improves in the 2nd set

Djoker looked rather rusty after no match play in a month. Still able to ice the popsicle in two. :)

I know that it feels a lot of time since his AO final, but it was less than a month that he did not play.
He had only 3 weeks rest actually.

3 weeks and 3 days actually.

He was not sharp, but I'm sure he'll lift his game by the time he meets Berdy.

I know he was not sharp, but this event is usually when he returns to play after the AO and is a good one to get into a rhythm, as he showed it before, winning it 4 times.
I think the first 2 rounds he always has a chance to get rid of the rust, by QF he needs to be up to a good level, because here always are about 4 top 10 players and a few other top 20 players.

When he would focus (especially with his serve), he was fine. His movement was good; as you say he uses this tourney to play himself into form. I just don't want Fed to snatch another final from him, nor to extend his lead in the h2h either. :nono

Do not even mention the H2H against Roger. It bugs me a lot!

It bugs me more, it should be a hell of a lot more lopsided in my not so humble opinion. Nole wins pretty much every close match otherwise it'd be very one sided.

Be careful with Verdasco, he seems to play well again and very motivated due to his new girlfriend who is Enrique Iglesias stepsister (his mam's daughter)

Muzz looks sharp, hope these short vacations and a good training (they never stop training unless they have an injury) his "head" can work better :dodgy:
