That would be Jiri Novak of CZE, when Rafa was 17, '04...his first DC match ever. 3 tight sets, though, TB in 3rd.

Spain won and moves to the final! Haven't watch a point played, so I have no idea of the quality of the tennis, but certainly the teams were fighting hard when faced with elimination. Everything pretty much went down to the doubles, IIRC.

Thanks...at 17 he was Raphael..so since he has been Rafa he is still undefeated in DC in singles..that’s remarkable
