I agree that olympics count significantly, Davis cup not that much because it’s team event. Olympic are very special for every sportsmen.
For me personally Davis Cup counts because of the patriotic background, even more in the old days/ original version. Not so much this new weird stuff. At least not yet.

Nadal, Djokovic and Federer have played plenty of singles matches at Davis Cup. They also play doubles to help. You can’t just toss it on the side simply because at the end the trophy goes to the “team”. They invest a lot in DC especially in singles play. Nadal clearly has the best DC singles match record and the most DC titles. Sometimes he carries the whole team on his shoulders.

I am tired of explaining that I did not combine, always talked about importance of overall h2h as a stand alone fact of Novak against a player like Nadal. No other player comes near to that. Over many years and so many matches, it’s no coincidence.

Being GOAT has always been associated with the slams and therefore it’s slams & slam h2h. Of course if you want to talk about weeks at no.1, wtf, masters 1000, overall titles etc. then yeah the overall h2h is in there too. Nobody is denying that Novak is high on the list of greatness but it’s 19-16 and 9-6 for Nadal where it matters most.
