^Let me be clear about what I think has happened. It's both good and bad. Just my opinion, and certainly not some sort of conspiracy tainted thing....
covid-19 pandemic starts. World governments go to Big Pharma looking for a quick vaccine. At this point no one knows how lethal the virus will be. To be fair, based on the lethality of SARS and MERS governments were perfectly reasonable to fear the worst - that covid would be as lethal as SARS and MERS but more virulent. As it turns out, covid was far more virulent but no where near as lethal? Anyway... Big Pharma puts forward a proposal. We'll get you your vaccine, but we need a pass on side effects, and we need to get PAID. Government had no choice but to accept the terms. And we're now where we are.
The news coming out now about boosters is the bad. And thankfully, so far, the bad is not as bad as it could be. From a medical stand point. But from a social stand point... trust in Big Pharma, government and media. This is bad. Really really bad. When people like me start looking sideways at anything on the mainstream media... Houston... we've got a major fucking problem...
But there's also the good. I do believe mRNA is a valid and useful technology. I fully expect that in the coming decades a whole swathe of diseases for which there appears no chance of a cure will become easily fixable. I think we've quietly taken a giant leap in medical technology and we'll look back in the coming decades and acknowledge that.
But will it matter if there is no longer any trust? I'm not so sure. I'm waiting with baited breath to see what States like Florida can find out in discovery when they start challenging Big Pharma and others on what has happened with covid. Progressives and Democrats in general should be very glad that this will happen. Longer term this is the right thing to do. Get all the crap out into the open so that we can all come to a proper understand on what reality and truth are in this hugely important issue...
