the rumor is that its Stefanki..just wonder if he will be doing on court coaching:sniggerhe doesnt seem the type that would encourage that...Kiu said:The question here is:
Will Masha be better or worse?
I guess we have to wait to see who the coach will be?
Tented, what do you think a new coach (maybe Stefanki) can do to help Maria improve her game? Can her serve get better? Has she reached her potential in the movement department? I liked Stefanki and was wondering.....tented said:I mentioned this on another thread a while ago, but will mention it again. Now that Andy Roddick has retired, Larry Stefanki might be available. I don't know if he is already working with someone else, but if not, he would be worth looking into. He has helped many players over the years, including McEnroe, Rios, Henman, and Roddick. His most impressive feat, though, was getting Fernando Gonzalez into amazing form, beginning in '06, and culminating in his incredible run at the '07 Australian Open.
I'm not sure if Stefanki works with women, but there's no harm in asking. I could see him helping any of them, but especially Sharapova and Wozniacki.

I'm not saying it's not true, but it's nervy and rather petty after all this time has passed.Sundaymorningguy said:Yeah he did, but I don't think what he said was a lie per se.

Sundaymorningguy said:The only question mark I have is they seem like polar opposites personality wise. He has a huge ego which might be tough to take out of the equation. We will have to see where this partnership goes. I thought she would have gone with someone who would help her with her serving as that really is where her problem lies when she loses. Her ground game is fairly consistent, so not sure what Connors can do there aside get her to mix up the pace a bit more.
two egos...just cannot see Connors in a sub-serviant position or running down to do on court coaching.I wonder how ChrisEvert will feel about this appointment since Connors outed her and put her business out there..:sniggerthe AntiPusher said:Sundaymorningguy said:The only question mark I have is they seem like polar opposites personality wise.
