It's said of Novak all the time! He can be up a double break & somehow allow the set to get away from him in a TB! We know how well he plays TB's since he beat Federer at Wimbledon in their final match-up taking all 3 TB's! So it must be a gift to extend his matches to get extra practice!

Coric deserved his win, I have always liked him as a player, shame he has had injuries and shoulder surgery, that kept him out of the tour for long periods. Rafa was rusty as I expected onto the USO.
Shout Out to Don Fabio, he will be pleased with Coric's win today

Of course he was rusty that was to be expected not playing for sometime, he last played on grass, I would have liked him to have a few more matches on HC, not to be , Coric deserved his win.Nadal looked a little rusty out there but I also liked what I saw as you can see that he's not far off his high level. I think he will peak for the USO. Also he will be well rested too and his abs will be 100%. Overall I think it's a blessing in disguise.

Agree with you MM. I knew he had a chance last night if he played well and considering Rafa lacked matches. Coric also beat him here a few years back. Hope he stays healthy and gets back where he belongs. Judging on nowadays quality of top 10 players there is certainly a place for him there or very close to it.
