Daveed and Milos both to overtake Berdy in the rankings to 5th and 6th, but this won't have a significant impact on the US Open draw. Murray reaching the final to steal Grigor's #8 seeding is still the biggest potential scenario to look out for. Also, Robredo can secure a top 16 ranking with a win tonight, however there's a good chance he'll be seeded top 16 in New York anyway, as he currently has a projected ranking boost to 18, with question marks over Nadal, Nishikori, Gasquet and Del Potro participating...

yikes..there is a lot of 6-0, 6-1 action going on out oncourt so far ?..stan won the first set 6-1 then got hammered by bennyboy in sets 2and3 ?..strange days..

and the fog got blown away..or did he tank the match ?..not so strange days there I think.

Milos is a smart genuine young man. I know many people do not like him, but that is their choice.
In our local press the article today said he was unhappy with himself and his attitude yesterday in the match with Johnson, and he was looking to fix that today. He surely did.
I hope he goes in that SF with the right attitude as well, no matter who he faces.

I must be missing something; why do you say that? I'm indifferent even though born in Canada! :nono :puzzled

Ferrer is second to reach semis, he closed out the deciding set 6-3
He will face Benneteau. There will be a new finalists coming out of the top of the draw.

Milos seems to be the only player that made quarters or better in all of the Masters 1000s this year, says the ATP site. I like the consistency.

Me too. And he did the same thing and the second and third major of the year.
He basically lives up to his rankings and that is why I would be shocked if he does not make his first QF at the USO as well

Read carefully what the posters say about Milos, the majority dislike either his game, do not want to see him at the WTF, some make fun of his looks etc.
It is easier to count, how many actually like him. The neutral opinions, like yours, are also in minority.

I guess it goes without saying that it was good for Murray to managed that hold. P-Mac, mentioning that the winner of this will face Raonic, who dropped only one game to Fognini, whom he called "the enigmatic Italian." Boy, that's a good way to describe him.
