Pressure to succeed after being one/two at Wimbledon, the expectations are so high, and in both cases they are finding it difficult to capture that high moment again. Not really surprising, maybe they will get their games back on track come the US Open.

Genie just lost her confidence after the Wimby trashing. She thought she is "up there" and the feeling of being destroyed killed her self belief. It will take her time to boune back. Her problem is more than one random match.

I agree. I think she really thought she was going to win Wimbledon. When she got whipped, it took all the life out of her.

Saviano is partly to blame for the false hope Bouchard had. Just before the Wimby final, he came on TV to say that Bouchard should focus on her side of the net and not worry about the opponent. That is one of the dumbest comments ever. Not worry playing Petra on grass???

We will see when Bouchard bounces back. Without her supreme confidence, she is not that special of a player despite what the media wants us to believe.

Has Simo just called the trainer at 2-1 1st set? With her strapped arm she may plan an early exit before NH and USO.

That was some hard messi match and Simo pulled it out 6-4 7-5. Not the best of matches but a good practice before playing that blonde
Lucie was always a tough match for Simona. She will be career high 16 after Cinci.
