No, I'm aware. They chose to vocalize their issues with a particular aspect of drug testing. Now, if you disagree with that or think it was stupid fine.
But, what seemed to set you off is their stance in 2012. My question is, what would you have done when asked about it if you were them? It's a similar situation to what Roger was in. Federer had made comments in the past saying Troicki was stupid, no excuses, etc... Then he's asked about Cilic minutes after losing to him. Of course it's tricky and it would sound like sour grapes if he threw him under the bus, so his stance is understandable.
It's similar with Murray/Nadal. In light of the Armstrong scandal, they had to clean tennis' image. What they said was the responsible thing. Any other answer would have caused unnecessary drama.
