Seriously? ALL CHINESE girls play on center courts on prime time evening night sessions except when... of course they play Simona Halep :D which will be in the morning session on second court.

Dear WTA and Chinese organizers,
You have a slight confusion between blondes sex and sports. I strongly recommend reading some of your Confucius literature.

The number 2 in the world doesnt play night session main court even when a Chinese girl plays against her. This has broken all records of discrimination against Simona Halep.

WTA, GO F--K YOUR SELF !
Until when will this go on?.....................

TENNIS IS ABOUT SPORTS. NOT ABOUT SEXUALLY AROUSING MALES AND FEMALES

In fact between me and Kiu, we've started many of the player nicknames here.

Speaking of nicknames, does anyone know who came up with "Rena"? I've never liked it. Add an "L", and you get "Renal", so every time I encounter "Rena" it sounds like a disease.

They talk about nicknames and I talk about a player constantly being discriminated by the establishment of women tennis. There goes the little differnce.. :D

^ And w/ that loss, JJ will tumble in the rankings as she played Serena in the final last year.

I can't take credit for that one. :nono It may have started on her fan site.

I can't understand it either Si. You have every right to be angry.

Listen it's silly to say it's discrimination. Is it ok? No. Is it right? No. But it's business. The fact is that the WTA is a business and event organizers make decisions based on what they think will garner the most bang for their marketing buck. I think Simona is great and I think she's actually really adorable. Personally if I were to give her some advice as a marketing professional (outside of tennis) it would be to hire a top notch public relations agent. She's burst onto the scene this year and she really needs someone in her corner to get her more visible. I mean hell Maria was still making more than any other sportswoman in the world when her ranking dropped well out of the top 10 and she didn't win a grand slam for YEARS. Marketing...

I don't see a problem in this. Yes, if she gets out tomorrow, it's bad. But I have no doubt that she'll be on main court at a better time in the next matches. She doesn't need validation through court and schedule assignments.

Did Serena have a very slow start, or was she suffering from some condition? I want to see her end the year with the top ranking.

Neither do I.

This is a mixed event, the ATP schedule has to be considered as well. I don't think Simo got a bad deal, Sabine and Genie are on Moon court, same as Ana, a previous slam champ. Lotus court is a show court.
They didn't put her on court 8 like they did Mona and Lucie.

Ladies do not fill the big arena, the Gents do.

If Elina can bring her good form she showed at Wuhan when she made the s/finals,I believe she can defeat Maria.Maria's game is still in disarray,Elina wont back down from the challenge.
Elina happens to be one of my fav youngsters on the tour.I was impressed with her solid performances at Wuhan.
