I prefer to be more objective.

I also know his game better than anyone alive or dead.

Well, the fact that Nadal won yesterday without playing great tennis says that he's not "out of it." In fact, he should only get better and find more rhythm as the event progresses, so having faith isn't "blind" - it's informed by experience.

This guy is good enough to win this! He's won it twice and he has no player who he should fear.

Come back, General Samson! Your troops are getting angsty and are sitting too long in pubs waiting for battle.

Yours Sincerely,

Lord Wedgie
Hammer of the House of Nadal
Knuckle Duster of the Left Hand
Like your newly bestowed title, my Lord.

It's like the FO when Henin, I believe it was, touched the ball with her hand v. Serena, but wouldn't admit it. Or Gonzalez v. Blake at the Olympics in Beijing, same thing. People don't forget these failures of sportsmanship.

Justine didn't touch the ball with her hand, she put her hand up to stop Serena from serving and then lied about it.

Apparently, Raonic admitted in his presser that he touched the net. He said it was a big point, and he took it. That sucks!

Yup :dodgy:

You're right. The incident I'm thinking about was with Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez. The ball hit her arm and she wouldn't admit it. Both cheating incidents were with Serena on the wronged side, though.

maybe raonic is registering on the autistic spectrum,

he somehow dose not seem to react to stuff and seems a bit detatched mentally and emotionally.

All jokes aside, I've noticed that about him too. Herman Munster like

In case no one posted today's schedule, here it is:

Start 12:00
[WC] Vasek Pospisil (CAN) v Nikolay Davydenko (RUS)

Not Before 14:00
[11] Milos Raonic (CAN) v Ernests Gulbis (LAT)

Not Before 18:00
[1] Novak Djokovic (SRB) v [7] Richard Gasquet (FRA)

Not Before 20:00
[4] Rafael Nadal (ESP) v [Q] Marinko Matosevic (AUS)

I'm glad they didn't put Novak on first or second, since his match ended so late last night.

Looking at the schedule of play for today, I see my own shift...I find myself hoping that Gulbis will beat Raonic, and I can't stand Gulbis. (Of the two, I do prefer Ernie's game, though.)

Cheers tented. Pretty shocking stuff really. I hope Gulbis mangles him later although with home crowd support Raonic will probably stand a good chance of moving on. He's probably desperate to make top 10 and even possibly is eyeing up the WTF as a longshot if he does better than some of the others near the bottom towards place 8 and scores a good few points between now and then.

They wouldn't do that to the number 1 player in the world! :laydownlaughing :nono

There is no honor amongst thieves. :(

A guy like Arthur Ashe, Arnold Palmer or Jack Nicklaus would never do or condone that. Disappointing to see in the young man. I hope he learns from this and does not repeat it.

I hope Gulbis wins. Sad for Delpo, although it was gonna be tough no matter what given his back.

After a very positive start and a 3-0 lead, Popsicle goes through to his first semi when davydenko quit. Looked like he had breathing issues. Possibility of two Canucks in the semis very real.

Dare to dream. Everything is ...Pospisil:clap

EDIT: It is his first SF in a master event, his first SF in an ATP event was a few weeks ago in Colombia

Gulbis' does psychological warfare - double faulting 4x and losing his serve at love. Raonic is completely undone and loses his game at love. Back on serve in the 3rd set.
