Time for Roger to handle Ms. Piggy again.

Like Kermit??

:cover :nono

I guess this means you haven't heard the bad news? Kermit broke Miss Piggy's heart and dumped her. :cry She's been "revenge dating" every unmarried handsome male star on the planet. But, you know, underneath it all - she's still pining for "Kermy."

There's a middle-ground possibility for Grigor, which is more like Richard Gasquet.

Late night/early morning here and only going to bed after 5am so I don't think I'll get up to watch Federer v Raonic. May the best man win.

Even though Grigor might not be what tennis specialists and fans were hoping for, he has become the "Romeo of tennis" and that title cannot be taken from him, he has worked hard to get it;)

Raonic played really well. Federer at least went for his shots, missed a few important ones here and there.

Pretty pathetic loss. Roger's form last Fall wasn't convincing either but hopefully he shows up good at Oz.

I am happy for Milos. He had a rough year with injuries and never got into a groove. I am expecting better things from him this year and it is a very positive start. He has to live up to the standards of being Nehmet's favorite player...:snicker

Roger got some matches under the belt and I think it will be an up and down year for him. I don't think he will be as consistent as last year. I see some deep runs and early exits. I hope the timing of the deep runs will coincide with slams.

I have not seen a single match this year played by Milos, but reports are saying he is returning better and is more aggressive moving forward. Those are two key components to lift his game and bring better results.

It's about time; the old man was run over by a newbie! :dodgy: :p

He's been run over by the newbies a lot the past few years and none of them are any good. 2 losses to Milos, lost to Kyrgios, etc. He had nothing on his shots today and the backhand badly misfired.

Not quite a newbie anymore, Milos turned 25. a few weeks ago. And it was not the first time he has beaten Roger either, he did it also in 2014 indoors in Paris.

At least it's not as embarrassing as the loss to Hewitt in 2014 but even then he made the SF of the Australian Open right after that loss. Lingering flu symptoms slowed him down and he played 4 consecutive days, including a tricky enough 3 setter against Dimitrov. I'd be a lot more concerned if he lost to snouty at the AO but he'll come in rested and a lot sharper than this no doubt. A sharper Federer would not lose to Raonic when he served 6 double faults. Still, in a way I'm kind of glad Raonic is back in the mix to make things interesting as maybe he'll trouble one of the other top guys. Didn't get up in time to watch this one as I went to bed dead late but I read Raonic took a very long medical timeout right after Federer held serve. Having to put up with waiting, cooling down and losing your rhythm and then having to face more bullets flying your way against a big server the minute things resume probably didn't help one bit. Nothing really to be too concerned about here. And lastly as much as I'd have preferred Roger started the season with a title if only a small one, it's good to see Raonic start on a positive vibe after the injury troubles he had last year so good for him.
