Home advantage exists in Tennis. Nice to see Cadantu smiling and laughing after a horrible year, Bogdan was in tears when she was called to take the trophy and gave a very nice speech.

Nice final with nice public who was very nice to Vinci. Not exactly a Steua-Dinamo Bucharest derby in football

If my maths are correct,with this win from Simona she is just 175 points behind Li Na for the No 2 ranking.

Simona has a good chance of getting the No 2 soon.
Li has to defend about 3300 points from now until January 2015.
Simo has to defend only 1940 points until then.

If they have similar success then Simona will get the no 2 for sure.
She defends nothing in Singapore and only 5 points in Beijing mandatory !

^ Well considering Li Na's sub par performances in RG and Wimbledon,she is still without a new coach going into the HC season,which is her best surface I feel,Simona is in the box seat to get the No 2 ranking..as long as she remains healthy.

1) Stay in shape, win and get points. not just healthy. big deal
2) Hope others below her dont win big events like USO and other places.

Things can change quickly. An injury can derail the Simo storm.
I guess she wont touch a ball in next week or two and then start slowly the HC season at Cinci.
She wont get drunk tonight at a big winning party, she isnt the type but who knows

I believe Simona loves shopping...so instead of getting drunk....a bit of retail therapy is in order after her win....

Halep is playing good tennis, i think she just has to be a little more aggressive on big points and in big matches.
