Rebecca Peterson wins the 2nd set 61, 1 set all Coco winning the 1st set 63, onto a 3rd set
Coco you need to reset ASAP or you will find yourself saying good bye in the singles at IW

Maria Sakkari survives 2hr 45 mins defeating Karolina Pliskova 64 57 63, no look handshake from Pliskova, who thinks Maria cheated later in the 3rd set, Pliskova said Sakkari touched a ball at the net, umpire didn't see, Maria denies it.
I dont know why that dont use 'video' to check on situations like this, when the umpire didnt see it.

Going three sets, match between Sabalenka v Krejcikova, match going like their QF in Dubai, Saba started well won the first set 63 and Babs found her game and range and won the 2nd set 62
Sabalenka avenged her defeat at Dubai by defeating Krejcikova 63 26 64, Babs made her work for it, and makes the final 8 for the first time in IW

It would be good to see for once Muchova without a strapping somewhere on her body, a strapping on her right thigh in her match which just started against Vondrousova. Muchova wins the 1st set 64
A battle though Karolina wins through in 3 sets 64 67(2) 64

JP defense was sublime..she is a tough cookie and excellent sportsmanship ..good win by Peta
Cannot win playing defense only. She became such a backboard, that when it was time to win the match she conveniently forgot how. Like I said, she will have a tough field to hoe. I can't see her winning 7 matches at a slam.

Maybe Jess needs to rewatch how she defeated Iga at the Sydney Cup in January, that was the best I have seen her play with controlled aggressive, not being passive for starters

I haven't paid attention to JP alot but she is a counter puncher ..counter punchers don't sleep well at night and continue to push while waiting for others to make mistakes..
