One thing about Alcaraz: He will have those service games in which he will donate the break at odd times.

Time for Sinner to break for the set here!

Got distracted...I thought Alcaraz was up a break. What goes on?

Let’s see if Sinner can serve his way out of this TB…

I am Sinner fan first. I do not mind Alcaraz at all. But I will enjoy Sinner’s career progression more than Alcaraz.

Alcaraz is more of a sure thing so I gravitated towards Sinner naturally
I'm generally pulling for both to do well, going forward, but I do lean a bit Alcaraz. I can see why you hope for Sinner to step up.

I want Sinner to win, just because I'd like to see him take that next step forward and win a big title.

(I still haven't figured out why my next guy is...I'm still in the courting/dating phase ;))

I am neutral to Alcaraz just because I think he will be a great player in the future already.

Sinner is a different story. While his future looks very bright, he is not as ”automatic” as Alcaraz imo.

Dang! At least Sinner did not lose any leads this time.

I'm having bad memories of Rafa-Roger matches. Sinner seems like he "should" be winning, but Alcaraz is just so hard to beat and always seems to find a way when it matters most.

I totally get where you're coming from. I really do want Sinner to take the next step up. (I appreciated your post about how this tournament is important for him.)

What Charlie did in the TB is what's missing from Jannik. Carlito refuses to lose even when he puts in an array of UE's. Winning that slam just reaffirmed what he already believed. He will be really hard to beat in the 2nd set as his confidence will just grow.
