I did note earlier that Paul beat Hurkacz. Good on Tommy! I don't know why I can't embrace Hubie, but I just don't.
You and me both, I just cannot get into his game at all, I have tried, Hubi also needs a personality or borrow one from someone lol!

I haven't even looked yet to see how everyone is doing, but I appreciated your post to @MargaretMcAleer encouraging her to play. It really is as much guessing and luck as anything. But it's fun!
Only 12 people played in our group :) I am 1st of the 12 at the moment, but really messed up the bottom quarter of the draw. Expecting to drop down soon. Still a fun game, so we are counting on @MargaretMcAleer to fill up the Miami draw.

Okay I'm off to watch something. C ya.

I see Sinner got past tricky Mannarino. Murray coming up, but TC will be showing Swiatek v Andreescu. (Fair enough.)

Murray leaving it all out there, once again. Was down a break, but now leads 6-5 in the first.

Lot's of talks on social media now how Rune tried to provoke Wawrinka at the net. Let's be honest here, it's 1:1. Stan did more or less same in Paris last year, complained at the net. Now this kid shot back at him and that's it. In some way tennis needs players like this, he will learn to behave better with time and he improved since the last year RG. Last thing tennis needs is another Hurkaczs in top 10.

Yeah that’s it, and both of them are players who hate losing, so to be salty is natural. Especially Stan. Salty, with a burger and chips, lager, and a tub of Ben & Jerrys…

I love @Kieran's post from earlier today, saying that the younger players should be looking to Stan and Andy for inspiration, more than the big 3. Or at least, let's say, take it step-by-step. Learn to fight hard from those guys, and maybe the chances at the being more like the Big 3 will come.
That’s it. I think it’s a more practical aspiration, not because players should accept that they won’t be as great as the Big 3, but because Stan and Andy are examples of players who are maxing out in a match, regardless of whether they’re barely inside the top 100. They know not everyone gets to the top without having to scrape yourself off the bottom…

Don,
That was not only one incident that Rune carried on like a Brat in Paris last year, he has also made homophobic slurs against an opponent, calling him a 'gay faggot', which is disgraceful behavior, yes he is a talented player, but apart from that, to me, there is not a lot to like or admire about him.

This is what Wawrinka's thoughts on Rune, after their match,
"The only thing I can add is that he is a young player, a very big champion already with huge potential. But he is making a reputation in the dressing room that he will regret one day".

That’s either redundant or a gay cigarette. Either way, I’m not amused.

Meddy Come On don't be so useless, yes we all know you dont like these slow courts in IW
Zverev acting like the 'grown up in the room', which is nothing if not ironic?
Zverev 1st set 76(5)

Medvedev d Zverev 67(6) 76(5) 75, in 3hr 17 to reach the QFs, dosent like the conditions, he complained, but he forgets how to lose.
Medvedev plays Davidovich tomorrow, Meddy did have a ankle roll, ankle taped, lets see if that affects his game tomorrow
Just read Meddy will get a MRI on his ankle today.
