No way lol! If Feli had another partner I would be cool with that...except it is the Potty King,
Oi,Oi,Oi, for the current AO doubles champions
I'm surprised too that Feliciano wants to play with Tsitpas but they really did a good job in Acapulco

Yes they did...it was the first ATP 500 win for the Young Greek...he has to date not been able to win a singles ATP 500 tournament.
Feli is an excellent doubles player,so I can understand why he wants to play with Feli in Indian Wells.

You have to admit, they're a good looking doubles team.

I just realized this but we could potentially see a Medvedev-Alcaraz 4th Round match-up. Now, that is a good match between the current number one player in the world against the future number one player in the world.

On the bottom half, Rublev is the highest seed in the Djokovic's quarter so he has a great chance to reach the final because Zverev...

I am curious on how FAA will fare in this tournament after taking a break from Dubai tournament. I hope he reaches the SF in this tournament.

As for the winner of the tournament, I either pick Nadal (for obvious reasons) or a new Masters 1000 champion meaning Medvedev, Zverev and Tsitsipas will not raise the trophy. I also do not think Cilic, Dimitror, Isner, Norrie Hurkacz and other 1 time champion will win their 2nd Masters 1000 crown here.

I dont know how Medvedev will fare mentally in IW,he has come out and said he wants the flag back against his name, though at present he understands why, maybe the war in Ukraine might take his toll on him and also Rublev.Though it will be a interesting 4th rd match if Medvedev and Alcarez do meet.

Indian Wells knew the federal mandate regarding who can enter the country, if they had removed him from the draw you really think it would have created any kind of controversy?
It's not their job to remove him. It's the onus of the player to withdraw if they won't be able to compete. Who knows what trick Djoke has up his sleeve. For all we know, he could have decided to vaccinate and not tell anyone. It's not the tournament's responsibility to forecast a player's action. They can only process the information provided to them when preparing the draw.

Outside of Nadal, the sunshine double will be a good barometer for most players to assess their level before going the Clay season. So, I expect players to try play well in this tournament and Miami to get some type of momentum before the Clay season.

Just read from Medvedev he does not how much longer he can play on the tour, with Russia's invasion of Ukraine.I think I did mention to you before that I had a question mark over Medvedev's mental and focus at IW, though I can empathize with Medvedev.,as far as I know he still lives in France.

That does not sound good...I hope he does not stop playing because it will be a big loss if he can't play. I do empathize with him because it is tough for any Russian (who are anti-war) that are witnessing this unnecessary war

Does he mean that he's too distracted, or he wonders if Russian tennis players might be banned? I hope neither, of course.

BTW, Mackie Macdonald just pulled out an amazing win over Fucsovic, who has to be feeling like he could have won that, or at least have taken it to 3.

He didnt say that he is too distracted, though you can imagine at this point of time his mind is not on tennis 100%.I can understand that

Yes, I agree, and even more so for the Ukrainian players, (even though tossip has had enough of Yaztremska talking about it.) Not to insert too much politics here, but I don't see the point of banning Russian and Belarussian athletes from competition, such as they did with them at the Paralympics (of all things!) I do get if you don't play tournaments there. We're finally coming out of the pandemic, and now this.

Plus these Masters offer the most money, absolutely the most tennis atmosphere....

I think it's fair to say both. The guys (and gals) who don't expect to do much on clay will also be looking to make hay, for now.

Brooksby playing some nice tennis v. Carballes Baena. I like him for the future of US tennis.

The top half of the draw in the Men's side play today and the bottom half of the draw play tomorrow. It is the inverse in the Women's side. Great news for me personally because I can watch Rafael Nadal on Saturday afternoon or night (I bought tickets for both sessions). The only question is whether or not Nadal will practice on the same day. Either way, I am stoked to see Nadal play an official match live! I also get to see Sinner play an official live.

"Joan" Baez getting played a bit by Nick. Kyrgios looking good. He's young, though, and Schwartzman-sized. Just turned 20, I think.
