The problem of stopping this match due to wind is that they will have to comeback later tonight to finish the match. Then, the winner of this match will have to comeback tomorrow to play the final.
That's better than to continue. It's only a set and less to continue later. Tomorrow the players would be fine to compete, IMO.

Both players played an aggressive point there. They know the opportunity in the next game...

I don't agree. If they're both still playing pretty good tennis, and they are, it's an outdoor tournament.
Also, the end of the 2nd set is near so they definitely want to finish the set before going into the locker room for a potential stoppage.

If you saw the final between Murray and Rafa some years back, it was a sand storm, and they played it. I think Rafa should stick in there...he's the one that outrageous weather conditions favors.

This game reminds me of the 3-2 game in the 5th set of the AO final. A very long game and a lot of break points.

I do not think they will stop the match. I just saying a hypothetical scenario if both players wants to stop the match due to the conditions.

I am curious to see on how Nadal will regroup in the 3rd set. He was definitely the more frustrated player in the 2nd set.

Credit to Alcaraz, he stayed on course even in the tough windy conditions.
