Good for Nick for staying focus so far in this tournament. However, I want to see Nadal-Sinner on a HC this Thursday.
And Sinner gets Kyrgios next. I feel a bit torn there. While I like Sinner, I'd say the more fascinating match would be Kyrgios v. Nadal, if Rafa can contain his boredom v. Opelka, and Nick continues to play this focused and well.

I am more fascinated about a potential Nadal-Sinner HC match because I am curious to see on how Sinner will handle Nadal on a HC at this stage of his career.

The match between Alcaraz and RBA wasn't even a match, more like a beat down. Wow, if that youngster can maintain that quality of play he will be a force. RBA doesn't overpower you, more like wear you down. But Alacaraz was aggressive, didn't get into long rallies with RBA, took that match out of his hands. So well done!

Meanwhile Medvedev was bursting the racquet look what Monfils was doing :face-with-tears-of-joy:

I think he was cleaning up after it. Too bad they missed the tiny little polish he did at the end, which was the funniest part. A lot of people here have given Monfils a hard time for "clowning" over the years, rather than focusing on his considerable game. Now, he has brought a new focus and commitment to his game, but he still knows how to keep fun and joy in it. Maybe no one has the same Unbearable Lightness of Being that La Monf brings to the game, but some people, like Medvedev, could do to learn that you can be serious about the game without being so angry.

In Italian news: Berrettini gets Kecmanovic to a 3rd, and Sinner withdraws due to illness, giving Good Nick the w/o.

I am hoping Sinner is okay because I think he got COVID right before Rotterdam and he is still probably recovering from that illness.
