The exodus of French guys continues. Just two more left. They too can go home after this evening's matches against Fed and Novak.

In the doubles WTF race 7 spot are taken.

There is one spot left with 2 contender. Both the contenders are playing right now on different courts in Bercy. (Didig/Melo and Butorac/Klausen)

Both of them lost. Dodig/Melo qualify as they were ahead little bit to begin with.
So, the doubles race is over.

Butorac/Klausen finished in the 8th spot in the rankings. They won't be playing
in WTF as AO champions who are at #9 got inside route. That is not the end of the
story. They will not even be designated as the first alternate. The first alternate
invite goes to Jack Sock/Vasek Popsicle, the Wimbledon Champions who finished
at #10. Butorac/Klausen will be designated as the second alternate. They will
get to play only if two different teams withdraw due to injuries.

Fed wins first set. Just one break though. 6-4. Not bad for a wild card into qualifier guy.

Lucas holds after saving 2 bps in a long game. It is 2-1 for lucas on serve.

Roger is serving poorly this match, gotten away with it so far but it's making this tougher than it should be. Quick service games would make this guy feel more pressure on his own games.

In the first set fed served good. He won 100% of points when his first serve landed in.
This game was an outlier as there was a let down as Lucas saved 2 bps and held in the
previous game.

This is very slow but very low bouncing. Not a bad court for Roger but this should be Nole's playpen

Looked like he barely served over 50% first set GSM. I started watching at 4-3 and his serve has been off.

Yes, that is true. But, he won all the points when his first serve landed.

This guy is naturally inconsistent but seems to have decent talent and is playing clutch on the bps he has faced.

1 minute 6 seconds for Roger's service game there.

Clearly he read my comment about his serve during the changeover

This guy is going big on the break points, much to his credit.
