They said Marin was 0-14 until today. I left at 4-4 in the first, pretty confident that Novak would win the first, having broken back immediately early. Came back at 6-5 in the 2nd, do I mostly only have the commentators notes to go by as to what went wrong for Djoker and right for Cilic.

i started to worry for NOLE -- when - in the second set -- after 2-2 and he just broke BACK ..i noticed he kept spraying a few more shots than he normally does...and during rallies - rather than in return of serves - knowing about marin's much improved first serve.

so i thought nole just wasn't QUITE ''On point" like we know he has done so regularly for years .

if the commentators said that nole was somewhat ''off" they are correct, moxie.

and that's not good enough against cilic playing with real sharpness -- for the whole week now, really.

I think some players spoil too much to his fans and non fans. I mean we saw that with some formers players and later with Federer, Nadal and now Novak, great players and excellent achievements but impossible to keep their best game forever because diferent reasons, age, injuries, family issues, too many distractions etc etc etc
And of course the others players are not going to let go that advantage, we saw that before, now and in the future.
Hope Muzz finish this tournament reaching the #1, he is right now the best player, it doesn't matter how well Cilic is playing, it would be silly if he would let go this oportunity

CAROL is correct THAT IT IS just impossible even for the greatest players to do - for example -- what NOLE has done. even forhimself.

iot's just not possible humanly.

there are always times when the intensity to keep it up just gets too much .

for ME as a fan of NOLE -- it WILL be disappointing to see one more YEAR go not as number one. BUT hell --

it has taken THIS long for ANYONE to challenge him - even at THEIR best. and THAT speaks mountains about Djokovic. and what he has accomplished.

but -- it ain't over -- the battles for being number one - even if andy gets it by monday which will be WELL-deserved.

One heck of TB between Andy and Tomas, in which Berdy had several MPs. But both also had DFs, and Murray gritted out the set.

Not sure what you're pointing to here, MC. That the court has been speeding up since it was once carpet?

What ever happened to the idea that Paris wanted to move to February because it was a wasteland at the end of the season, btw?

Nice to see they've speeded it up a bit.

Andy Murray on the verge...
Sounds like he's got his head in a good place to get the job done. I think he can get Raonic, and frankly, Cilic (or Isner,) if he doesn't have a let-down going into the final.
