IMO Verdasco has almost everything to be a great player but his head never has helped him too much
Dimitrov seems like he could do better but he never get it

i thought pretty shots and being nice were gonna win you matches, and Grigor has both in abundance.....he is even nicer than Fed, never had issue with others like Fed had with Djoker and Nadal.

VERY good points indeed.

i guess it IS unfair to dimitrov to judge him this way. he still has his years ahead of him. and we'll just have to wait and see.

maybe dimitrov will prove everyone wrong -- and one day - maybe next year he could actually win his own major. let's see.

maybe he'll even do a better 'crying game' once he does win ..hehe...u know -- both knees on ground...gracefully swerve to one side falling on the ground..

gracefully wipe tears of joy ....gracefully accept his trophy ..
make a gracious speech...beam with a graceful smile...

and be dimitrov full of grace..lol.

ya -- i think that was berdych shushing the crowd that was so for nadal - i think because it was in spain? davis cup or something?
it was such a huge thing at the time.

and probably under the protocols of behavior - a player shouldn't do that -- directly 'addressing' the crowd -- and that it was also about berdych giving nadal a big challenge -- so it made things worse or something like that --

but from HIS side it's the ''i'm the outsider here..." kind of thing.

but THAT'S the mix of events like that -- the individual and the crowd which consists of individuals -- and the crowd pressing on the individual with its suppot for their guy - and the individual player feeling defiant and then offends everyone...that kind of dynamic..so how is one really going to judge it?

at the end of the day -- ALL individuals - crowd and berdych were wrong. lol.

but in retrospect -- it's ''stuff happens" - it's not as if it NEVER happened in human history, u know? lol.

it becomes different when it becaomse a HABIT - disrespect of a crowd to a ''lone fighter, stranger in the land" -- and disrespect of a stranger for the FACT that the 'crowd can't help themselves' but be rude in their own way. so he either swallows it -- or

defies them.
and then it's one more day over. get OVER it. lol
.

That's how I saw it. I thought it was a non-issue, a sort of who cares type of thing. There are more important things in life, at least in my life. LOL.

hehe -- an even EASIER second set.

partly becuse tomas KEPT everything intact.

and simon i thought was flagging - i think he got tired..and lost power and precision and quickness..and then -=- called it a day ...i really s=uspect -- rare as that must be for HIM -- that even HE could succumb to ''what the hell -- it's just too hard...i wanna go home". kind of thingie...

but hey -- even as pros they're HUMAN, u know?

at least that's what i suspect just judging from how easily simon seemed to MISS. I CAN'T call it ''tanking" -- but i think something in his resistance inside snapped ...and curious to know what he said MORE LENGTHILY to berdych at the net -- it didn't look to be against berdych as simon was pointing his head ''back" to the court or crowd or something...like making a remark about ''something out there" during the match...and berdych gave him an extra backslap as if to ''re-assure" and just forget about it -- as it seems simon may have had a complaint about something -- but NOT towards berdych..

maybe the rest of you saw it differently -- just my imagination maybe.

I thought they said that he was injured. He definitely wasn't the Simon that I'm used to seeing. I hate to see my guy lose, but I did want Berdych to make the Finals. I thought Berdych was playing Tsonga, but he's playing Murray. I think he's out of here tomorrow. If Berdych loses Thiem may go instead. Oh well, such is life.

lol. --i'm just being nasty towards reeechard..lol.

he looks so gay - lol. but that doesn't mean he IS. THERE are just some players it's kinda fun to play with their image...like reechannngggg gasqueeeee...........give me my finger polish!! and my eyelash thickener ............right NOW !!! i have an appointment in the pink district...........president hollande is giving me a present...hehe.

LOLOL. He looks gay? I can never tell. I have a male friend and people are always asking me if he's gay. For some reason this always shocks me. I don't see it at all. I just think he's him, but I've never noticed anything feminine about him. It's so weird.

Question, if there is a contest of 'bobbleheads' who would be the winner Verdasco or Dimitrov?:unsure:

I would give it to Verdasco because he's older and more experienced, ha ha ha.

but u know ANDY RODDICK had his fine qualities.

if they are true stories -- i don't forget that in those years he was big player --

he did these things:

when he was the sought after american star -- in signing autograps across the fence from the crowd...
so many people were pressing up to strethc their hands out to his signing...balls, etc...and there was this TINY little kid with her auntie that brought him there to see roddick - his idol -

and the kid and aunt could barely manage -- some feet away from andy -- and andy noticed THAT -- and what he did he REACHED OVER AND DOWN to the tiny kid - LIFTED HIM from under the big people and crowd - OVER the fence to his side and signed his ball...

the AUNT DAYS LATER -- after going home to maryland posted a small post in some local paper -- (i read it myself on daily news nyc ) -

saying"

"hi -- i am a yuoung aunt from baltimore and i was in NYC a few days ago to bring my nephew to see his idol andy roddick - it was my gift to my nephew for his birthday and we were so desperate and he was almos crying tha he can't get close to andy...but andy saw us and did this"

and she described it --

and then said" on the way home and for days now -- al my nephew talks about is how andy made him feel so special and that he will never forget it all his life".

aother time -- andy was in the hotel in italy for the ROME masters..they had a small fire in the floor BELOW roddicks'..and other players...everyone got out -- but smoke was already there -- and one player -- and his WIFE who was pregnant were still in their room next door -- so andy stayed behind - they were second floor to the street --

and helped the guy and his wife down out the window and terrace so they could slide DOWN on the tarpaulin under the terrace above the entrance of the famous hotel...and then he got down after them...

and as JIM COURIER said when he was davis cup captain ...

''ANDY -- NEVER, EVER turned down any of my calls and requests for an appearance...anywhere, anytime...fundraising, exhibitions, causes, donations...i called --even last minute..he'd take the plane and he came -- no questions asked".

those things -- i don't forget. and andy deserves credit for that as much as reprimand for his boorish behavior at time, lol.

Aw, I had forgotten about the fire thing. I guess I'll forgive him for being corny.

LOL! Grigor does have time and he does seem to be making progress. He seems like a nice chap. I hope he gets some of what he wants. Oh, he actually said in an article that I read today that he wants to win a major and be #1, so he does have goals.

true.

i was playing on the fact that , imo, it's not enough to just ''suspect" ...just because someone ''looks" gay might have as much to do with one's OWN perception or stereotypes and ideas about ''what someone is".

and then it's not true -- or it's true.

p;oint being -- appearances can both deceive as well as be not complete basis for judgment until real evidence appears.

so - gasquet --

prodigy - he was 'cute' as a phenom -- grows up off and on - lots of supposed 'rumors' -- ''rumors'' or articles say ''tennis has closet cases but won't come out because of sponsorship"...so "who are the probables? why not a frenchie? oh wait what about HIM...REECHARD? doesn' seem to have a girlfriend...oh but wht about the clubs? ............then one ''assumes" ''he's gay because he looks gay and so he must be gay"

like i played upon.

but who the HECK really knows? i don't know. lol.

So far so good for No1e. No signs of that nervousness from China. Tennis wise he has been offering a mixed bag, but I hope he can beat Cilic and then whoever wins panamerican quarter.

I find funny that new No1e's new coaches Pepe and Marko look alike. Vajda and Becker will be back in London so No1e may have full box of coaches.

I thought he recovered very well from the rustiness. Novak and Cilic. I'll go for Novak. I think he's fired up.

Are you discussing possibility that Dimitrov is gay? Funny, but there is his countryman Valery Bozhinov who is a footballer in Partizan Belgrade who is also accused to be gay. Not only that they are countrymen and both sportsmen, they look alike a lot and Dimitrov also banged Bozhinov's ex wife Nikoleta Lozanova which is why Sharapova dumped him. They are both very good people and while they may be swinging both ways or not, they are both attracted to women for sure.
