I don't remember seeing Gojowczyk before. Anyone know anything about him? I think one of the commentators said his career high ranking was 99.

He took a set off Nadal at Doha last year. Seems to be another guy who plays his best against top players but loses to nobodies. Matches up well against Raonic too.

Gojowczyk can't even win a point now. Rafa's won the last 8-9 in a row.

EDIT: Naturally, he won the next point after I posted this. :laydownlaughing

Gojo looks much more like a 90's grunge musician/singer than a tennis player.

Thanks for that, Pavlik.

Even from the highlights, there were many times Rafa just didn't bother putting the second hand on the racket, and instead played a slice. It maybe that he's not fully confident in it yet, and that's often the case after a serious injury. He didn't look incredible today - but he didn't have to. Job done...

Cilic looks to be still in very good form but it's clear from that video that the courts are pretty damn slow here.

Gulbis retired from his singles match against Klizan, but I don't know why.

Gulbis/Matkowski have now pulled out, giving Djokovic/Krajinovic a walkover.

Gulbis is shoulder injured

Probably! He's so damn slow that even on best of 3 he'll have played the equivalent of 4 sets  :D

That's usually the score between them so, you're a betting man, tell me the odds! :p

Well Nadal should win given his last two opponents (Gojo and Klizan) have the added strain of having had to play challengers to get this far so they've played more tennis. So Nadal in 2.
