Actually he was winning when it all went wrong, in both set 2 and the 3rd set TB. He was up 5-4 30-0 in set 2 and missed a routine volley and then started missing first serves and hitting errors. Before that he had lost 1 point on serve in set 1 and 3 in set 2.

Its true, Rosol isn't gonna be a fun hombre to drink with tonight. I doubt if Rafa could play that poorly again vs Rosol.

If he continues hitting short balls it'll always be the same story in their matches. Some Rosol will win and some he'll have the upper hand in most of the match but hit too many errors and gift the win. Kinda similar to Nadal v Fognini really in that respect.

Likewise. I'd like to see it too but I'm long over the hype of Dimitrov. He's disappointed me and many others for a long time now.

Not longer than Rafa has disappointed me for two long years :nono :cover :speechless:

Well he won 3 slams in the last 2 years. Not too bad really if you're a fan and the polar opposite if you're not. :D

Well, I think Nadal always has been in other level than Dimitrov who at 24 years old still has not won any GS and I'm not sure about any MS so it's more shock how bad Rafa has played those two years :dodgy:

As I said, 3 slams in 2 years is not bad unless you can't stand Nadal (check!) in which case it's terrible :snicker

And I firmly hope that it's going to be more and more terrible for you, it would mean he is doing well, yeah! :snicker ;) :ras:

I did not see the match. But, this is an important win for Rafa, confirming the incline.

Sorry to disappoint you, but Rafa didn't win it; gifted by Rosol who "gave" away his serve in the 2nd set trying to close it out! I think he got in 1 serve out of 6 points; total choke job! :cover :nono  :eyepop

You're obviously not the only one who can switch horses in mid-gallop. :snicker

Rafa won it.

How many times this year has Rafa shanked his way to losses against blokes he should be dispatching without the need of a shower afterwards? this time he held firm and put himself in the position where the opponent bottled it. Credit where it's due, in this case.

Was Rafa brilliant? No, but he was brilliant-er than he was all summer...

Heh heh, just watched the extended highlights of this on YouTube and the handshake at the end was priceless. They hate each other! :lolz:

At least we know it's not just Nadal. And unlike Kyrgios, Rosol doesn't have the excuse of being young.

Sergey v Grigor could be good too, but most likely it'll end up up with more balls in the backstop than in their trousers... :popcorn

Poor Nadal, I guess indoor isn't his cup of tea, I'm afraid he could lose early there and in Bercy
