I want to follow the Barcelona tournament and root for Nishikori but all the Nadal fans posting after their three minutes with their Rafa blowup dolls is making it hard to stomach.

Kirijax, that's not just crass, it's unfair. The swooning around here has been done by Djokovic fans (rightly) and those that root for him because they root against Nadal. Fans will root for their favorites. This is an internet forum, and if you have a delicate stomach, you should probably check it at the door. :dodgy: If you can't, feel free to skip watching Barcelona, but I'd hope you stick around and put up your dukes. :popcorn :)

It's not going to be the dimitrov generation that is going to win any slams. More likely to be the coric/rublev/zverev/ymer group I think.

Well, somebody (else) have to win something sometime.

naah..big 4 are back together in the rank charts.

never to be separated ever again, at least until the year 2525. (unless zager and evans start winning stuff).

No way. Obviously not. This is just cheap fanboyism. It is completely obvious that it wont go as far as 2317.

Oh it's just my opinion. I just think there's a lot more slobbering/drooling in the Nadal posts and it gets nauseating after a while. But don't mind me. I'll turn on my favorite (Murray) for a while when he crosses one of my imaginary lines. Feel free to throw some punches at my slobber posts as well. And I'll be watching Barcelona without a doubt. Nauseating or not.

I'll agree that there are some slobbery/unrealistic Nadal posters here, but not so many. Most of us are reasonably sanguine, and in the same conversation as anyone else. There's an awful lot of slobber over Djokovic, at the moment, including very Hallmark card blessings over how fatherhood and marriage have benefited him. That's more than a little bit sentimental for a sports conversation. But I check my nausea at the door. :)

I've just found out through a friend of mine who lives in Monacor that the past September he went to watch Nadal training and he saw a tall Russian young player also training with Nadal and my friend was impressed how strong shots he made and how well was playing. Later he also found out that that young player had won the RG junior that year and today he has given a good lesson to Verdasco, his name is Rublev and he seems to have a good future

Um...you did respond to my post. Remember? :lolz: And since you can't see it, the Nadal fans were the ones who started laughing about Nishikori being seeded No. 1. Your observation of provoking needs some adjustment. :snicker

Well, I don't remember have seen Rafa's fans laughing about Nishikori being seeded No. 1 and of course not me, I think he deserves to be seeded No. 1 after to win last year in Barcelona :clap

If you read back, only Kieran made a comment about Nishikori being seeded #1. Last I checked, he is one person, and doesn't speak for all Nadal fans.

Maybe a sucessor for Kolay and Misha ?? Russian tennis is in poor shape after beeing more than strong,
they need a new kid to hope again

Ymer just upset Kyrgios. I was checking the result on the ATP site, Kyrgios was up a break in the third, then he was up in the final TB as well and had a MP on his serve and he failed to convert.
Great job by the Swedish guy.
