Although Serena's draw looks brutal on paper, I like her chances. It will cause her to focus earlier in the tournament and really get things in gear instead of coasting. She looks fitter than she's been in awhile. We'll see how it goes.

Hello!

I'm fine, thank you very much for asking other than bored with working from home. At work I have a very varied role as my Manager breaks my tasks up & keeps changing my job roles alternating between the history tasks & the arts/crafts & musical tasks. When working at home I have to work from an emailed list & finish 1 task before starting another. I'm on the time-consuming tasks. Bagpipe & accordion music normally help me to work faster & more efficiently but it hasn't been working recently.

Welcome everyone to my home Grand Slam,it is the only GS I get to watch in the daylight and on my time zone,it beats having to get up at Midnight when the tour leaves Australia!

Osaka has come out flawless in the first 4 games,Pavs is not playing badly,Osaka is not giving her a look in
Osaka 4-0
Pavs going to the Osaka Bhand and it pays off she breaks and gets on the score board....Osaka 4-1
Too much control from the back of the court,running Pavs around the court breaks and will serve for the 1st set 5-1
Osaka wins the 1st set 61 in 33 mins

Osaka gets an early break in the 2nd set,Pavs is really putting pressure on the 2nd serve of Osaka and it is paying off.
Osaka 4-2 2nd set.Is it just me Osaka looks like she has gained some weight? especially around the top half,though it is not impeding her athletic ability at all.
Osaka going up another gear now and breaks,too much power and too many options in her bag of tricks
Osaka will serve for the match 5-2

Serena in a one legged cat suit,though I prefer the fushia pleated skirt and fushia top she wore in matches before the AO
Serena breaks back,hopefully the nerves have settled down.
Serena with 3 games on the trot,she is finding rhythm on her ground strokes
Serena 3-1..........Serena with a double break and she will serve for the 1st set 5-1
Serena 6-1 1st set in just under 1/2 hour.

I saw the end of the 1st set and some of the 2nd. Vee played well. She kept the ball deep and came to net a few times.

Serena broke Laura in the first game of the 2nd set and has consolidated the break,Serena looks good on serve,no signs of anything wrong.Laura making too many UFE,these courts are playing very quick this year and I dont think it helps Laura's type of play at all.
Serena breaks and leads 3-0
Laura finally gets on the board in the 2nd set,but hasn't the power or shots to worry Serena
Serena 4-1.....Vintage Serena,one strike tennis set up with that 1st serve
Serena leads 5-1
Serena with 2 MPs...........
Serena d Laura 61 61......Impressive she will be pleased in 61 mins....not having to expand too much energy in her 1st match.

Will do. I'm working from home now too and I have to go outside. Even if I just sit in my car for a few minutes and listen to the radio or take a walk around the yard. You stay safe as well and move around to keep your circulation going...
