Well Zhang really not interested in only beating one American this week. Working on getting another break to take the first set over Kenin. Makes me feel a bit better about Sloane. But. Not really. I mean. She was up a set. Zhang has wins over her before though. It was always gonna be tough. Still. A win over a more in form Kenin would do a lot for Zhang's confidence.

But instead Kenin has held a marathon game and broken in another deuce game. Still down 4-5.

Kenin now serving for the set 6-5. Haven't watched too much of it because of the Federer/Millman match. But good on her to hang in there and back herself and keep fighting when down 5-2 and at least one set point that I saw.

Zhang with the early hold and break to start the second set. But Kenin gets the break back in another multi-deuce game. And now serving at advantage in another deuce game. These two just going toe to toe. Back and forth. Long game after long game. Battling.

Zhang now back to break point. And she takes it. 3-1. I lost my feed though. So I missed it. Ugh.

Lol. I feel your pain. I picked Osaka. I've got Ash and Pliskova going deep though so might retain a tiny bit of dignity :)

Just wanted to add in Gauff's win her 1st serve was just outstanding, also she played like a 'seasoned pro' at just 15 years old.

Next time to get 24 will have to wait 6 months on the grass. I don't see her doing it at RG

Instead of acting like a Diva and playing only in GS, this time she played a warm up before AO and even won it and so I thought she will clinch #24 here.

I agree with you that she does not have a good chance at RG. But, she has chances in both Wimby and USO.

If she does not get it this year, I would tend to think chances of her doing it ever diminishes drastically.

Just tuning into the Pavs v Pliskova match,Pavs was leading 4-2,Pliskova broke back it is 4 games all.
Pavs just held serve leading 5-4.
Honestly Pavs you were looking at 2 second serves and of course you over played the return.5 games all
Pliskova with her 4th BP...BH error from Pliskova back to deuce.FH winner down the line from Pavs.
Another DF from Pavs her 4th so far.Pliskova with her 5th BP this game is already 8 mins old
Big hold from Pavs leads 6-5 and Pliskova will serve to force a t/break in the 1st set
Love service game from Pliskova 6 games all.T/break will commence.Pavs to serve first
Actually a well played t/break from Pavs who did not over play her shots and thought?

Pavlyuchenkova 76 (4) 1st set over Pliskova. To me if Pavs is going to cause a upset she had to win the 1st set.

BTW Pliskova has a 6-0 H2H over Pavs.

Pavs carries the momentum she had in the 1st set and gets an early break and consolidate's leads 2-0
