I'm looking forward to the match between a couple of non-seeds today - Genie v Coco.

Angie takes on Pliskova Lite.

Jankovic / Kuz is another I'll keep an eye on... although I think Jelena's run ends here.

I'm hoping no hiccups for Garbine today... would like to see her challenging in the second week.

A.Pavlyuchenkova (Pavs) who has to be one of the strongest hitter's of the ball on the WTA tour, sad she goes for too much and makes some weird shot selections, she is Russian:) defeated E.Svitolina no 11th seed 75 46 63.

Has to be the match of the tournament so far and the longest match of the tournament so far...3hrs 36min
This match had everything many twists and turns, some of JJ's bhands were just JJ 2008.Sveta served for the match 5-4 in the 2nd set and was broken,JJ took the 2nd set 75,Sveta served 5-4 in the 3rd set,JJ broke, went to 6 games all, then Sveta got the break and won the match 64 57 97....Well done to both ladies a really enjoyable match!
