I really want to see her as a consistent force...not one of those who gets a Major and then flounders. I think she's got the ambition, the power and the game. Let's hope she can keep her focus and her health.

she will -- the rest of the year after RG was just a bit much to keep up.

but she's the type -- i am almost certain of it -- that becomes multiple majors winner. just needs to ''settle down" into the fact that she IS no longer just a ''former potential GS champ" but HAS BECOME one.

but she's different from other ''one-slammers" in my opinion.

Serena v Bencic will be one to watch although I think it's maybe being a little over-hyped. I think Serena wins in straights. Bencic was still carrying a foot injury last I heard.

Wickmayer v Safarova, Flipkens v Konta and Watson v Stosur are three others that could be interesting. The winner of Wickmayer/Safarova will play Serena (or Bencic) in Round 2.

Lucie Safarova takes out Yana Wickmayer and saves NINE match points in the process.

Amazing.
