Murray questions, as do I, why the women get a heat time-out, and the men don't?

For real? That is the rule? Equal pay, huh...

I argue all the time for equal pay, for example, but I don't understand who decided that the "dainty" women need a 10-minute break between sets 2-3, whereas for the men, there is none, and they can play up to 5 sets. WTF?? They were even denying the men water during long games. There is something very wrong about how they're handling this extreme heat situation, on so many levels.

There should be no difference in the rules for either gender.

Don't even start me on the on court coaching. Even Mr. Carillo thinks it is sexist.

It's so weird the way the AO is handling everything. Usually, it's the tournament with the least amount of controversy (with the exception of that one time they scheduled Hewitt to be last on court and he finished his match at like 4 am). Everything tends to go smoothly. It's been quite uncharacteristic this year.

Agreed. But it's like they're ignoring that they have an extreme heat issue. They're simply pretending as if it doesn't exist. Broken, what do you think about my idea of moving the AO to the end of their summer? Their heat issues are not going to change.

Too many complications. What becomes of the US Open then? There's just too many things to work around, especially with the ATP not being the governing body behind the slams. I'm sure there are less complicated solutions, including suspending play and closing the roof.

Rod Laver Arena is possibly Blow Out Arena today. I cannot seem to find a
single semi-competitive match there.

Except for another excruciating 3 and a half hour Shaza bore fest complete with double faults,
3.0 level volleys and 200 break points. Every coach she has ever had should be fined.

Did you see the UFE count? It is a total of 122 unforced errors committed jointly.
Does anyone know whether it beats any known records?

How does it affect the USO? That's already at the end of our summer. You could slide the Asian tournaments into the front of the year, before the AO, and play them like tune-ups, as per usual. Might even give a longer off-season.

Aga just finished serving one Bagel. I hope she does one more quickly so that I can
watch Fed play before going to bed.

I misread.

"At the end of THEIR summer." I read it "at the end of THE summer" for some reason (ie OUR summer).

I wonder what makes people misread when it is spelt in the post itself.

In a few minutes, Rafa and Roger will be out on court playing in Aussie Open, hence on different courts.

GSM: You like a trivia question. Any idea the last time they played at the same time, if ever?
