I seem to remember the frenchman played a blinder against Nadal two years ago, so what went wrong for him today? He's a better player than what the scoreline suggests. Here's some stats courtesy from Eurosport.

I gave up after the 1st set, it was a total Farce,
did he appear weary? It's not to take anything away from Djokovic but most of us would've expected more of a contest. Imagine what the crowds who've paid top soldino must be feeling (I'll be posting an article about this in a moment). Not good for tennis.

You also wonder how at 37 years Novak remains as solid as ever and relatively injuries free compared to arch rivals Nadal, Federer and, for a certain time Andy Murray, not to mention his love for the game.

To be fair, no one was beating the Djokovic that played tonight. It would have not mattered even if it was Alcaraz, Sinner, or Shelton on the other side of the net.
Alcaraz i give some chance provided he mixes up his game as what we saw happen at Wimbly.

Sinner gets sloppy trying to serve out the set, and now he's in trouble. 15-40

At least these 2 matches are competitive going into the business end of a GS
I would rather have a hard match now, then cruise it can come back to bite you

Holy crap, what a stick save shot from Fritz for a winner to give Fritz the hold and 5-3 in the 4th. One game away.

He has been playing well today against Stef, quite frankly I am amazed Stef got this far

Fritz wins in 4. I have to say, he's playing better tennis than I thought he had in him. He's really improved.
