Who in the hell put 2 womens matches on at the same time? Honestly this is a joke coming into the business end of a major
I now have to split screen Swiatek/Rybakina and Gauff/Ostapenko matches.
Wouldn't that be Craig Tiley? Rybarakina causing Swiatek problems.

No he isnt in charge of scheduling...still this is a joke,
Elena's big serve and BH , big game causing Swiatek yips, also Elena returning Swiatek serve well,
Elena will serve for the 1st set 5-4
Rybakina seals it with an Ace takes the 1st set 64 over Swiatek
Swiatek also struggling with the ground strokes of Rybakina, she is going hard and flat into Swiateks FHand
Swiatek I feel will have to do something big to turn this match around
Both ladies have taken a toilet break after the 1st set

I don't dislike Rybarkina, but I'm running out of favorites in this AO. I hope Swaitek rights the ship, tbh.

I am not into fat-shaming, but what has happened to Ostapenko? She does not look like an athlete.
Ditto. It doesn't look like she's training at all. She was always streaky, but now she can't play any defense long enough to hang in these rallies and she's pulling the trigger so quickly that she generates so many errors. It's really sad. If she just committed to her career and the necessary off-court work, she could get back in the top 10.

P.S. Remember when Serena showed up at some slam and was out of shape? I think it was Wimby 2005. She proceeded on this downward spiral for the next 18 months until she showed up at 07 Aus ranked in the 80s and turned her career around.

I think players are more ready for Iga this year and I suspected it would be this way. She had a couple of losses last year and early this year. I'm sure coaches are reviewing those matches and formulating their gameplans against her.

She will find it increasingly more difficult to defend all these points in 23.

The old Coco reared her ugly head. She had the break and played sloppy. When you have a player like Osta, you have to get her moving, period. Stop dropping the ball short or playing it safe.

Well done Elena 64 64 over the top seed Iga Swiatek
Elena takes out the #1 seed and is the first woman to book her place in final 8

I didn't. Even before Jess took her to the woodshed I thought someone else would lift this trophy
I knew this was a big danger match for Iga, I was not surprised either, I think some of the commies, need to do their homework a bit better and know the players that can upset Iga, especially on a fast HC

Coco is so predictable in this match. She keeps going right back to Elena. She has to keep this girl on her horse if she wants to get out of this.
