My draw challenge is shot to pieces, this loss just added to it, I should have thought about that fact more, after winning a tournament just 2 days ago, also what happened to Borna Coric?
Do remember that the early rounds are only worth a few points, so you can catch up!

Or an "optimistic moment." Don't worry...a lot of people have Novak to go deep, and he's got a bad hamstring. :face-with-tears-of-joy:
He also has a bandaged now on his upper thigh? :) along with the black tape on his hamstring
I will be interested to see if they are on tonight for his 1st rd match

Craig Tiley ( Protector of Novak Djokovic) was delighted in the first days attendance day/night record breaking 80,000 people attended. All courts were packed.
I read your post earlier about Tiley warning spectators about being disruptive when Novak plays. (He says it's not a "no booing policy.") I wonder how that's going to go over? If Aussie's are as independent minded has they have seemed to me, I wonder if that doesn't just fan the flames? If you told New Yorkers not to be disruptive, they would double-down, for example. Tiley seems to me to be a twit with a capital A.

I would be interested to see it, if ESPN were even going to show it, but they won't. :face-with-symbols-on-mouth:

Tiley thinks he is bigger than the game of 'tennis' I have not time for his antics, I met him once at a DC cup Swiss v Aussie when Roger Federer came to Sydney, along with Stan, he has one of those 'fake smiles' if you know what I mean.

You can read back, but basically ESPN in the US is hiding most of the matches behind a pay wall. They don't care that we already pay for cable, and they don't care that there is nothing else to show in the middle of the night. They want us to subscribe to their extra channels. Money-grubbing bastards.

I have free to air here with 2 channels and also I can subscribe to Stan for 1 month for free, where I can see outside courts at the AO,

If you figure anything out, LMK. I'm so incensed by ESPN and their grubby greediness. I know I said this last year, but most of it is on in the middle of the night...what ELSE are they going to show?? It's a blatant ploy to get us hard-core fans to shell out money. And just wait until we find out how hard it is to cancel the service, even if we DO break down and pay for a month. Hurrumph.

As far as I can tell, the only way to access this in the US is by subscribing to ESPN+. If you have the ESPN app, you can subscribe through it for $9.99/month (even though the default is to subscribe for a year, so be careful). Yes, it’s only $10, but it’s the principle. I already pay a huge amount of money to Verizon each month. I don’t want to pay more.

If you’re able to cast to a TV, you can do that through the app as well, although I haven’t tried it myself. You’ll need either Google Chromecast or Apple AirPlay to do this.

Yes, it IS the principle of the thing. Still deciding. I do think that is the option, and I can probably get the app on my TV. Thanks!

Outside courts play has been suspended due to heat, air heat is 35 c
Heat policy is now in play in the WTA matches, Men can also take a break (singles) between the 3rd and 4th set of their matches
The 3 stadium with roofs will now be closing, A/C is on its way, takes about 10 mins for the roofs to close
