What's going on with Coco Gauff? I didn't see her match, but out first round in straights?

I watched the 2nd set at times she just could not find the court with her shots.

I say she's playing too much! Last year she was on TV around the clock in singles and doubles! Practice is needed, but she's playing against grown arse women and it has to take a toll! Luckily the injury bugaboo hasn't occurred yet, but mentally she has to be exhausted IMO! :anxious-face-with-sweat:

People seem to forget Coco is still an teenager,I think playing doubles like she does only can enhance her singles play. Also she has won a few doubles titles.

BTW Simon Halep is playing today:) against M.Frech.

Just reading Coco's press after the match,

"I think there's a lot to learn from.I think I was playing a littler bit tighter than normal"

I agree with her comments there.

Probably one of the stand out matches today will be Sloane Stephens, newly married and a former champion of the US Open who plays teenager Emma Raducanu No 17th seed, who is the current USO Champion.

I am also interested to see how Petra Kvitova goes against Sorana Cristea.

Hopefully Sabalenka's No 2 seed, visa for her serve has arrived she plays Aussie WC Storm Sanders.

I just switched over to Medvedev from her match, as it looks like she's not coming back from the brink in this one.

Goodness me I just got home

I am not shocked that Petra Kvitova lost to Cristea in straight sets,to me Petra 'needed matches'

Shocked with the news of Leylah going out...to Aussie WC Inglis
Same here. Margaret what happened ? I did not see this game, am really sad about it as i was hoping for another Leyleh vs Emma rematch. Would have given the australian open a real shot in the arm. Battle of the 19 year old's . It wasn't to be.:pleading-face:

Actually out of the 2 youngsters I was thinking Sloane Stephens has a better chance of defeating Emma, going on Emma's recent form

Where is Andreescu?
Anyone think Emma and Fernandez making the final last year was a fluke?
Sad to see Jabour withdraw. She’s fun to watch. What an improvement in her fitness over this last year.
Analysts are picking Keys to win the title. I’m not quite convinced.

Ok first round match for Clara Tauson - now only 2 under 20 left in the draw - her and Raducanu
