Not so fast Osaka broken while serving for the 1st set
Osaka will again to serve out the 1st set 5-3
I wish Wim Fissette would coach Osaka a better transition game to the net she gets caught out, also Osaka playing doubles would also help her with her net game,
And yet she holds and wins the first set. I'm just happy to see Naomi playing, and happy, if she is. Fine points to come.

Yes though I have always said she needs to have more variety in her overall game, she will just end up having success on HC,not grass or clay

One step at a time. I'm OK with that, though I agree with you.

What a rally Osorio turning defence into offence, quick footwork as well, great point Osorio
Even though Osaka is rusty, due to lack of match play, her placement of serve has been good.
Osaka loves pace, you have to get her off balance, change the pace of the ball with spin and slice.

I always love an Osaka interview. She keeps it so odd and real.

Really Naomi! That kit is FUGLY.
But she has a whole explanation from Nike or whatever that it relates to the Melbourne skyline. There is a reason.

Mox, no amount of Nike explanation keeps it from being terrible.
