Rafa is focused now. Berlocq is no pushover on clay, either. Saw Ferrer talking to the press after his loss. He looked pretty upset. Just said Tursonov was the better player on the day.

Rafa getting broken when serving for the set is becoming a very nasty habit.

It happens more frequently than you think with players coming back from injuries. They get nervous closing out sets and matches so they lose serve. I remember it happening frequently early on when Serena returned from her injuries where she had issues closing out sets and matches and lost serve. They have to relearn that aspect of the win closing it out with authority.

Glad to see Tursonov having good results of late. Some decent results last 2 months.

Ferrer is a very good friend. He makes his best neither to get any new points nor to defend the old ones.

Allez Benoit! I hope Paire will be inspired in his next match.

Rafa dropped to a set to Berlocq during the South American swing this winter - his name sounded familiar, recall it being a tough match (as in one of those guys who just clubs the ball on clay).

I'm rather confused about Ferrer - if there is an injury or something else that he is not revealing since his play has been less than his usual all year.

Ferrer just hit the proverbial wall and I saw this coming after the poor show against Rafa in Acapulco.

The guy has to have some physical issues in addition to pure "burnout". He is t he ultimate grinder, always making sf and finals in a lot of tournaments can take your legs off. He will be a no show for a while sadly.

Monaco, Almagro, Bellucci through into the QF, but several other matches, among tfose, Nadal's, Raonic and Berdych, will get probably postponed for Friday due to rain.

I need to find out what Robredo is eating and drinking these days.

How old is he? 37? He's prolly only reaching his youthful prime!

He will be 31 in 5 days, but that doesn't seem to mean over-the-hill anymore.

Give it 8 months and he'll be in his prime like Fed. :s

Great couple of weeks for Robredo. He might make it past Raonic later today if he is not spent.

Nadal in his second match of the day. So happy he has his scheduling worries behind him...
