You clearly don't grasp the definition of "owning" someone versus merely beating someone in a close match. :nono

I do! When you beat a bloke in straights every time you play them, you own them! :clap

Or it could be it took PEDs for one guy and a broken wrist for the other to end up with the one sided h2h they have :lolz:

One of your more senseless contributions, buddy. :cover

Ralf gets the quick break to go up 2-0. Thiem has a wicked forehand.

edit: And Thiem immediately breaks back. He's punishing Nadal almost every time he sees a short ball.

Then that's going to happen quite a lot. I can't see the match, but I always enjoyed watching Thiem...

Gutsy kid, goes for his shots. Can see where he needs work on his serve, backhand, positioning. Kieran, do you notice Rafa is making errors from the middle of the court more than on the wings?

I haven't seen him this week, it hasn't been a good week, what with one thing or another, but with Rafa it's like his difficulties shift from one area to another: good serve today, lousy forehand. Good forehand today, lousy backhand. Good backhand today, lousy serve. I think he's definitely struggling to gain control of the middle of the court and this could be a symptom of anxiety, especially when it comes to his forehand...

Still don't understand why so many players today don't hit the ball right at the other guy when both are at the net. Thiem lost an easy point with a patsy tap that Ralf hit by him.

Thiem to serve for the set. I know he's older than Coric, but I like him a LOT better. More "grit" to his soul than I've ever seen from Coric.

Nadal has slowed down the tempo so much, I'm getting the dishes and laundry done between points. Finally after a whole second set of this, the umpire gives him a warning.

Up 40-0 on his serve, Thiem hits his way back into the game to get it back to deuce. Rafa's not too happy with the young Austrian. Holds for 5-4. We'll know if he's back in it by the way he is able to pressure Thiem here.

30-30 and Thiem hits a lazy drop shot that rolls out... Ralf takes the next point and the set. Thiem looks as though he is a bit... tired. Ralf should run this next set, 6-2 or 1.

Perhaps so, but just remember that the difference is three years - which is ages of developmental time. Chances are Coric will be a better player.

Dude you keep repeating that fricking mantra every time. :nono Understood. That's why I prefaced my statement.

And you keep saying you don't like Coric, or you like Thiem better. Why are you allowed to repeat yourself but not I?
