ffs... he's got Uniqlo on board. Surely he's not locking himself into tournaments. Halle and Basle... fine. Nothing else though

Swansong? I hope not. If he wants to say goodbye to Paris , go to the end of year Masters

Well, we've seen so much whoring with supposedly injured players crossing the globe to play in meaningless exhos, nothing would surprise me.

He could easily say goodbye to his career playing RG by knackering his body for nothing

I don't see it as a swansong, but more he's skipped it for 2 years and maybe doesn't want to do that again

It just seems that in general his year has been better without playing the clay tournaments

the way I see it Uniqlo should want to see Fed holding that trophy up the 2nd Sunday at SW19 more than having their logo stained with red dust in an early round in Paris

I dont think the sponsor sees it that way. Anytime he's on court, they will be happy. If a title comes w/ that, BONUS

if he does play RG it would signal to me that next year will be his last and he'll want to give the French a swan song this year before going all out one last time for Wimbledon next year

I'm not so sure they should want that Kate. Think about it, that Wimbledon pic with their logo and Roger holding the trophy will last forever. A few dud matches at RG will just show a fkg loser wearing their brand

then why sign a 10 year deal? they can't possibly think he will be holding the Wimby trophy in 2028

they explicitly said that they signed him up for what he represents in terms of branding and saw the relationship being beyond tennis. To them he's a sports icon whether he's playing or not
